Covid 19 and its accompanying restrictions have put strains and constraints on us all. It has highlighted businesses that were marginal and struggling, it also highlights businesses that run platforms that are nothing more than a Website or an apt , these business aren’t small with a recent IPO in these areas valuing these businesses in the billions of dollars. These businesses paint a warm and fuzzy on-line presence. What we found was something completely different , we found large corporates hiding behind words such as “ robust cancellation clauses” we were even told we were trying to bring the industry down , what highlighted me to write this was, on the third time this has happened to us in the space of twelve months we were being told “ Sorry but its up to the owner's discretion” , all we wanted was our money back for bookings that didn’t take place.
Booking on line won’t or doesn’t affect the third parties reputation its affects the businesses with its name in lights , these entities take a fee for what they are doing , charging a fee for actually doing nothing is not actually "charging a fee"....
There are good people in the Travel industry in the past year I haven’t met you yet, my advice is stand up so we can all see you – to the others I say you will learn who your paying customers are, and I wish you luck with karma.

4 年I have to say I unfortunately like many people thers have also suffered significant loss too because they of these ‘entities’ in the Travel industry. Suffice to say adding salt to my wounds not only have I lost my money I am yet to travel or enjoy what I originally booked! Now that they are cancelled both my plans of travelling and payment have diminished.
