Choose your friends wisely. Your circle defines your growth and values you choose for life more than you could imagine. Environment plays an important role in an individual’s life. Imagine you put in your every bit of effort and your friend is just wasting his time on a couch playing play station. Today or tomorrow you will compare his easy life with yours. It becomes your decision to either take a learning from it or be like one.

Environment is not just limited to your friends or neighbourhood it has multiplied to your virtual environment as well. Not to generalise but only for the sake of understanding if a mother follows food recipes, father follow politics, son follow gaming and daughter follow fashion. Now it seems like a small thing, but going deeper there can be mismatch of opinions, tolerating a person of a different opinion in your own family is a different struggle altogether. If people living under the same roof have different opinions how can you expect people working in an organisation to have same opinions?

However, you still have an option to avoid your peers or change your social media feed based on artificial intelligence in a much easier way. But it takes a lifetime to realise what needs to be changed and what needs to remain. And sometimes coming out of it can be quite challenging like coming out of a toxic relationship.

After all, a relationship is a bond between two people where each one of them is expected to understand the opinions of the others. This particular person can have a great influence on your psychology. Therefore, it becomes essential to choose your environment wisely.

For that matter your organization and its culture you can’t change but you can opt not to get influenced by it. Avoid the negative gossips with your colleagues which creates a barrier to work efficiently for your organisation. Everything has a brighter side. Your choice decides your environment. Take control!
