Who is your circle of influence?
When I was in college I learned that you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.? Your circle of influence is very important. It's the people or parts in your life where you have the ability to make an impact, influence decisions, and effect change. It is an example of the influence that you have over your immediate environment.
There are many reasons why your circle of influence is important.? Some of the more important ones are explored below:
1.? ? ? Positivity - Your circle of influence provides you with an opportunity to make a positive impact on your life. By focusing on areas of your life where you can influence people or situations, you can contribute to the well-being, growth, and success of those within your sphere. Whether it's your family, friends, colleagues, or community, your actions and words can inspire and influence others in a meaningful way
2.? ? ? Where are you directing your focus and energy? Your circle of influence helps you direct your focus towards areas where you can make a difference. By recognizing the aspects of your life that you can influence, you can avoid wasting time and effort on things that are beyond your control. This focus allows you to be more productive, proactive, and effective in achieving your goals.? As the famous poem states wisdom is knowing the difference between what you’re able to change and what is beyond your control
3.? ? ? Personal empowerment - Recognizing your circle of influence empowers you to take ownership of your life and actions. Instead of feeling helpless or overwhelmed by external circumstances, you can identify areas where you can make positive changes and actively work towards improving them.
