The goal is to expand knowledge about the model’s capabilities.

• Applied Research:

Research is conducted on specific architectural changes to AI models, or on hardware improvements that could reduce latency or improve accuracy in real-world AI systems. This research is aimed at solving specific challenges in the deployment of AI, such as making AI systems faster or more reliable, and is driven by the goal of improving the practical performance of AI applications in areas like natural language processing or computer vision.

• R&D:

After completing applied research on improving AI model architecture, the company moves into the development phase. Engineers integrate these enhanced models into new AI products or services. This involves building prototypes, testing performance in real-world scenarios, refining the design to optimize for scalability and efficiency, and ultimately preparing the product for deployment or mass production, such as integrating the AI into consumer devices or cloud platforms.
