Who You Gonna Call?
Who you gonna call when you need to redeem your time and infuse meaning into your days? We look more into the remarkable book "Redeeming Your Time (RYT)" by Jordan Raynor as we dissect the first three chapters of this absolute game-changer.
First and foremost, Raynor urges us to start each day with God, the ultimate authority and creator of all things, including time. By dedicating quiet time with God daily, I've witnessed a profound positive impact on my life. Even if my quiet time isn't always as lengthy as I'd like, the key is that I'm intentionally spending more quality time with God, and it's making all the difference.
Raynor then delves into the tactical steps of time and commitment management—a crucial skill in our fast-paced world. Saying yes to please others can lead to disappointment if we can't fulfill those commitments. I've learned that saying no, while initially uncomfortable, is ultimately healthier for both myself and those around me. Raynor's system offers a brilliant approach to striking the right balance.
The book also guides us on dissenting from the "kingdom of noise" to truly listen to God's voice. Listening requires moments of stillness, silence, solitude, and reflection.
Which of the first three principles resonate with you?
