Who would you vote for? For the party, or for the candidate?

It is election time in India! And I exercised my freedom and the right to vote today…
Often one faces this conundrum: who to vote for? For the party, or for the candidate?
If in your view both the party and the candidate are likeable, then where is the dilemma? Also, if neither is likeable, then where is the dilemma?
But it becomes tricky when one of them is likeable and the other is not.
Who would you vote for? A likeable party despite fielding an obnoxious candidate? Or, a likeable candidate, despite allying with an obnoxious party?

6 个月I believe candidate is more important than the party. Eventually, it is the sum of "candidates" that make or break a party and steer the destiny of those who voted for them!! And in today's world, candidates frequent hoping, and homecoming etc make it much more difficult to make a choice that will repay your trust...
Agree it’s a tough choice !!. Yes sometimes we don’t get to see both Likeable ‘candidates’ and ‘party’. But keeping the nation’s interest in mind it’s required to vote for the party though the candidate may have be ‘obnoxious’. Eventually after some point of time if the candidate still continues to be obnoxious., he / she may not stand a chance to contest again !!!!
