Who is the winner?

Who is the winner?

I recently had an opportunity to engage in a friendly drawing competition with my daughter. She challenged, “Let’s see who draws the best penguin.” That was our design brief ??

I approached the task with a logical and technical approach, focusing on proportion and detail to create an accurate rendering. On the other hand, my daughter's approach was more imaginative and playful, as she created a penguin family scene filled with vibrant colors and a fun-loving atmosphere.

The experience was a reminder of the beauty of art and how it can bring people together, regardless of age or experience. It was a testament to the idea that art is not just about ability, but also about perspective and experience. Through our drawings, I saw the different perspectives and experiences that we both brought to the table, and it was a valuable lesson for me as a parent.

For me, the logical drawing was a showcase of my technical skills and attention to detail, reflecting the years of experience I've had in the design world. I took my time and carefully considered every single detail to create a representation of a penguin. On the other hand, my daughter's drawing was a playful and imaginative depiction of a penguin family, showcasing her boundless creativity and innocence.

It's important to note that neither of our drawings was better or worse than the other. They were simply different expressions of art, each with its own unique voice and qualities. The beauty of art is that it's subjective and open to interpretation, and there's no right or wrong way to create it. Whether it's a logical and technical approach or a playful and imaginative one, the important thing is that we're expressing ourselves and sharing our perspectives through our drawings.

As a parent, this experience was a valuable lesson for me, reminding me of the importance of supporting and encouraging my child's creativity. I was so proud to see her imagination and playfulness come to life on paper, and I was inspired by her boundless energy and spirit. It's moments like these that make me realize the true value of art and how it can bring people together and create meaningful connections.

In conclusion, the friendly drawing competition with my daughter was a valuable and inspiring experience. It reminded me of the beauty of art and how it can bring people together, regardless of age or experience. Whether it's a logical and technical approach or a playful and imaginative one, the important thing is that we're expressing ourselves and sharing our perspectives through our art.

Let's continue to celebrate and embrace the diversity of art, and inspire each other through our creative expressions.
