Who Wants to Play Never Have I Ever? (Biz Owner Edition)
Laura Burton
Brutal Blonde teaching you to get clients online ?? Learn LinkedIn? & SCALE your business with sales and marketing mentoring ???The chosen mentor for experts in marketing ?? Am I your next keynote?
Who wants to play, NEVER HAVE I EVER? ??
I'll start...??
Never have I ever....slept under a pool table in a sombrero...
Just me? Let's try again...
Never have I ever....told someone I loved my business when it was quite literally killing me...
DRINK! ??
Never have I ever...lay awake at night convinced no one would ever pay me for my expertise...
DRINK! ??
Never have I ever....compared myself to other business owners who seemed to be killing it...
DRINK! ??
Never have I ever...struggled to make sales online and wondered what the HELL everyone else was doing to make money...
DRINK! ??
In all honesty, I try to avoid this game at all costs. My biggest fear is that it'll be an annual staple at? Lea ?? Turner 's upcoming party, and I'll have to commando crawl out before anyone makes me play...
But....you get the point...
We all have things we'd rather not admit about our business. We all pretend at one point or another that things are great when really we're just keeping up appearances! Maybe we need more sales. Maybe we need more profit. Maybe we just need a day off, 8 beers and a good cry! ??

If this sounds all too familiar, I want you to understand that some of the most successful people you know had (and currently have) help!
I certainly didn't do any of this alone - though the content is all me! ?? This past 18 months I've had some form of mentoring from 3 different business owners. People who I respect highly! People who have been where I am. I learn something new from each and every business owner I meet which helps me shape my offer and my business into something I actually want to deliver.
When you sit in business groups, communities or masterminds constantly, you see the real truth behind business. You watch as people tell HUGE lies about their income or journey that has everyone else feeling absolutely worthless and stuck in comparison mode.
The Lesson
So....my Never Have I Ever playmates...
What's Laura's lesson of the week?
1. All is not as it seems
Don't believe everything you see online. Follow the people who give it to you RAW and REAL as an 8oz Rump Steak ??
2. Comparison is the thief of Well Happy Business??
Don't compare your journey to ANYONE else's journey. You don't need the same income as everyone else. You don't want the same life as everyone else. You don't have the same circumstances as everyone else. Your whole life has been unique and your business journey will be too.
3. There's a solution to your problem
If you're struggling with self doubt, sales, or any other business problem, be prepared to try everything available to you. You may get remorse if you make a bad investment, but never give up! The best investment I've ever made was fairly recent and I'm still trying to figure out what part has specifically worked for me.
Don't give up on finding a solution. IT'S OUT THERE ??
???? It may even have blonde hair, a reputation as the Man Fixer and be staring you in the face RIGHT NOW (if you don't get the joke, you clearly missed last week's post so go take a look).
Being a business owner or leader is a bit of a rollercoaster! If you're struggling with sales, burnout, mindset, clarity or strategy, let's talk! The first call's on me:
