Who Uses FeldCare Direct?

FeldCare Direct is a referral hub that connects discharge planners, doctors, rehab centers, and patients with credentialed SLPs, PTs, and OTs. The care that is provided by these clinicians falls under “outpatient in-home.” Outpatient in-home therapy is provided to those patients who are not homebound but prefer to receive therapy in their homes.?

Outpatient In-home Patient Populations

Doctors, discharge planners, and others who refer to physical, occupational, and speech therapy through the FeldCare Direct network are most often referring patients experiencing the following:?

• Limited or no access to transportation,
• Prefer the convenience of concierge service of receiving therapy in their home in place of having to go to the outpatient clinic,

Insurance that Commonly Covers FeldCare Direct’s Outpatient In-Home Referrals

Most insurance will cover outpatient in-home care. The most common insurer is Medicare Part B/Supplemental Insurance. The qualifications necessary to utilize this insurance are having a diagnosis and a referral from a medical professional.

As of this writing, the following insurers cover outpatient in-home patients who use FeldCare Direct to find a PT, OT, or SLP

California: Medicare Part B/Supplementals, Medicare Part B, Blue Shield, and Brand New Day. Patients can also use out-of-network coverage or opt to pay a flat fee.

Florida: Medicare Part B/Supplementals and Baycare Plus. Patients can also use out-of-network coverage or opt to pay a flat fee.

Arizona: Patients can also use out-of-network coverage or pay a flat fee.

Idaho: Patients can also use out-of-network coverage or pay a flat fee.

Nevada: Patients can also use out-of-network coverage or pay a flat fee.

Texas: Patients can also use out-of-network coverage or pay a flat fee.
