People known as the Sidhe (pronounced Shee) or people of the mounds, the Lordly ones, The Good People, sometimes referred to as the “little†people although this description does not describe the race descended from the “Tuatha de Danann†who actually settled in Ireland millenniums ago. During the Battle for Middle Earth, tis said they were defeated by the Milesians.
In the Lebor Gabála érenn, a medieval Irish Christian pseudo-history, the Milesians (Irish: gairthear MÃlidh Easpáinne) are the final race to settle in Ireland. They represent the Irish people. The Milesians are Gaels who sail to Ireland from Iberia after spending hundreds of years travelling the earth. When they land in Ireland they contend with the Tuatha Dé Danann, who represents the Pagan gods. The two groups agree to divide Ireland between them: the Milesians take the world above, while the Tuath Dé take the world below (i.e. the Otherworld). They are named after the character MÃl Espáine, which is the Irish form of the Latin Miles Hispaniae ("Soldier of Hispania"). The Sidhe retreated to a different dimension of space and time other than that of the Humankind. They are believed to live under mounds, fairy raths and cairns, and also reported on a mythical island to the West of Ireland, called “Tir na nOg†Names of counties and towns with the prefix Lis, Rath and Shee are associated with the Sidhe (such as Lismore, Lisdoomvarna, Sheemore, Rathfarnham, etc.
The Sidhe were the Healers, the Shaman, and Pagans.
The Gaelic word si or siog refers to what today are called “Fairiesâ€. Whenever a Sidhe appears there is a strange sound like the humming of thousand bees. They are known for their sumptuous fabrics and glitter and flowers. They are not like the fairies throughout Europe, for they are not diminutive, but the size of Humans or larger. One defining trait is that they can assume human form, but in human contacts, they produce a distinct feeling or sensation, feelings of euphoria and spirituality.
They are known for their physical beauty, silvery sweet speech and mischievous minds. There have been many documented accounts that the Sidhe have had contact with Humans throughout time. They are generally friendly, even protective, unless they are angered by some foolish act of a mortal. Many trees and mounds are considered under their protection and should a mortal destroy or damage then a curse will be put on the individual and their families.
For this reason, in parts of the countryside, people would avoid desecrating “fairy paths†for fear of the disturbance. Legends have it that this race, with powers beyond that of men, able to move quickly through the air and change their shapes at will. This belief played an enormous part in the lives of rural countrymen in Ireland and Scotland. They are also Guardian Sidhe of most of the lakes of Ireland and Scotland.
Oddly, the depiction of the fairy race in Lord of the Rings follows the path of the Sidhe. In the battle for Middle Earth, many sailed away to the island of Tir na nOg. A land of perpetual youth, where the tribes never have misery, death or disease. They will not face extinction until the Day of Judgment when all are assessed.. Lough Fur in County Limerick is a most magical place where many of the Kings and Queens of the tribes can be met.
The lake lies among the hills, but legend has it that every seven years the lake runs dry where an entrance to the Sidhe kingdom can be found. It is rumored that every seven years a mortal dies by drowning in the lake, believed taken by the Beann Fhionn, the White Lady. Somebody did their research.
Beautiful female Sidhe have the reputation of luring young men with their laughter and song. They are known for their love of milk and honey.
They are inordinately fond of music-and should they feed you fairy food or have one drink fairy wine, if a man is tempted to kiss a Sighoge (young fairy spirit), he is lost forever-the madness of love will fall on him and he will never again be able to return to earth or leave the Fairy palace. He is dead to his kin and race forevermore.
Every seven years, beautiful mortal females were stolen to become brides. But after seven years, having lost their youth and beauty, they are sent back to their kin. To compensate them, knowledge of herbs, oils, stones and secret spells, by which they could kill or cure and have power over men. It is believed that the Wicca spiritual path is the one these individuals follow.
It is said that Kirwan of Castle Hackett, a great Connaught chief helped the fairies in the many internal battle among various tribes and types of fairies over territory. They have been known to seek strong Mortal strength in their fight. In return, he was given a beautiful Fairy bride, and it is certain that all female descendents are noted for their beauty, their grace in the dance and their sweet voice in speaking. Lady Cloncurry, was the beauty of the Irish court and celebrated for in rare fascination of her manner and voice.
Fairies have a love of the gentle graces of life, disliking course or violent encounters. They are splendid riders, and take great delight in horsemanship.
Sometimes the fairies appear as elderly (use of glamour) and so gain admission to houses where they may watch and spy, bewitch to butter, abduct small children and carry of the young girls for fairy brides.
The “touch†of a Fairy once felt, has profound effects on the psyche, causing a sense of longing to experience them once again.
Fairies are in direct contact with the Soul of our Earth. They draw in and direct Energy straight from the Source/God/dess.
I hope you enjoyed a description of the Sidhe for I am descended from their interactions with mortals. I have been a storyteller since birth, and have been raised in knowledge of herbs, healing, spells, and Energy manipulation.
Out of the Tangled Web is the name of my company, and all my individual programs fall under its umbrella. Magick of Wyrd is Pagan for all that once was, that which is becoming, and that that has yet to become. A deep contact with your conscious and unconscious-reading past lives issues that may be affecting this lifetime. It is not uncommon for Souls that were connected in a prior lifetime find another from their past life interacting with them today. The concept of a Soul mate is quite different than a Twin Flame. A Soul mate can be in any form, trying to resolve unsolved issues from that prior life.
A Twin-Flame denotes a romantic connection. If only people could see Souls instead of their Human form, how differently might they interact?

8 å¹´In olden times the mounds where the berried bones, it was a very Holy space. People then were engrossed with their past. With short average life times they believed strongly in their history and the places like Stone Hedge where the sun told them when the planting season was there. It was a mythical time, but a death or life time also.
The Soul Matrix.
