Who Should We Marry?

Who Should We Marry?

We all know that marriage is a lifelong commitment. It requires perseverance, patience, commitment and many more.

It is a commitment to face tomorrow with full conviction with the one whom you want to marry. It is a commitment to stay even if things get rough; it is the conviction to stay afloat even when the wave of problems and disappointment tries to submerge the sanity out of you. It is your determination to make every day a good day for the both of you as husband and wife, as both of you tied the knot with each other.

Of course, as an individual, we all want to marry someone who also gives the full calibre of what we can give. "Equally yolked" is the phrase that is typically used.

We can expect that our significant other is also willing to stay committed to the marriage and the vows. When we marry someone, we should be ready for tomorrow with that person.

Now, this article will give some pointers on what to consider when you decide to commit to someone physically, emotionally and financially.

  • Marry someone who isn't afraid of a future with you. It wouldn’t be right to be married to someone who isn’t even ready for a whole new world with you. Have conversations with the people you are dating about the future, their plans, and how they prepare for future events. You want to attach yourself to someone who is forward thinking and excited about taking on the future with you!
  • Marry someone who can give even when you cannot. Marriage is a give and take process; it will not work out if only one person is willing to contribute to the marriage. Having partner means having someone who can pick up where you left off. Giving can mean giving emotional support, financial support, or committing time to tasks like taking you kids to school or hiring someone to repair damages in your new home. Remember, marriage is between the two of you, not only one of you.
  • Marry someone who will be with you through ups and downs. Yes, marry someone who can be your crying shoulder when things get rough. Marry someone who will make you smile whenever the world tries to bring out the worst in you. Marry someone who can make you calm in the middle of the storm.
  • Marry someone who has a mature mindset. Entering marriage is not a game. It requires seriousness and contentedness with a touch of planning and preparation. Marry someone who treats marriage as precious as a jewel.
  • Marry someone who can make you better each and every day. When looking fro a lifelong partner, consider someone who can bring out the best in you! Marry someone whom you know can push you to your limits an challenge you in the BEST ways. Marry someone who can bring out the best version of you.
  • Marry someone who you are certain about. Lastly, marry someone you are certain of because you know that you can have the best time of your life with him/her. Marriage is a journey full of ups and downs and you need someone who you can weather the storm with. Marry someone who you know is worthy of the love you can give.
