WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR LEARNING - STUDENTS OR TEACHER by Dr.T.V.Rao MD I never found teaching is easier than any other profession, some teachers try to improve others remain static , however if we wish to continue in teaching try to take path for better leering and performing otherwise life become a measurable event which can be difficult to put up if you are conscious, Today it is not the content which impresses the students how you made it makes the difference As expected, students who had watched the lecturer with better presentation skills expected to remember more of the material, believed that they understood the material better, and rated their interest and motivation more highly than the students who watched the dud OR a life less instructor, However the events proved otherwise The twist came when the students took a test that investigated their memory and understanding of the Calico cats concept. The students who watched the skillful (or “fluent”) lecturer barely outperformed the students who watched the “disfluent speaker.” But they did much poorer than they expected to do, whereas the other group did about as well as they expected, the lesson to take away is probably not that presentation skills don’t matter in teaching, It seems to be that the value of education lies wholly in the hands of the individually the student - if you consciously retain the information you are being "taught," you will learn it. But just being given the information doesn't led to automatic education. Food for thought for educators everywhere, an exciting lecturer can also push students to study the subject on their own by exciting them and instilling a passion about the subject, so the "fluency" of the lecturer is not a completely useless attribute. On the other hand, a student can come away from a dazzling lecture believing that he or she completely understands the material presented and does not need to study. A "disfluent" lecturer will push students to study on their own for a different reason. When students come away from a lecture believing that they haven't learned anything, they know what they have to do in order to learn the material. This works best to inspire study when the students are already passionate about, or at least committed to, the subject in question. Disinterested students are more likely to drop the class. If you ask me sincerely the future of education is unpredictable Classic error about learning: that it is about the teacher, not the learner. One day, all classes will be learner-centered, not teacher-centered. In truth about the future: one day all will be! The future is not predictable, or we will leave it behind, NEVER FORGET THERE ARE NO GREAT TEACHERS WITHOUT LEARNING STUDENTS AND NO GREAT STUDENTS WITHOUT LEARNED AND INSPIRING TEACHERS ?
