Who predicted Google in 1948?

Interesting fact...

Did you know that the internet and even search engines like Google #Goog and Wikipedia were predicted and even described as far back as 1948, by the Australian inventor of the world's 4th computer?!!

"It is not inconceivable that an automatic encyclopaedic service operated through the national teleprinter or telephone system, will one day exist."

Dr Trevor Pearcey (5 March 1919 - 27 January 1998).

With more support and faith in our visionaries, scientists and universities you would think that maybe in the 50 years after the prediction, #Australia would have had enough time to create a #business similar to #Google. The prediction by Dr Pearcey was made in February 1948 - Google was funded with $100,000 50 years later, in 1998!
