Who Moved My Cheese? 2025: Finding New Cheese in a Changing World ???

Dr. Cherry, Quite Contrary #ceowhisperher

Once upon a time, in a maze not so different from our own, lived Sniff, Scurry, Hem, and Haw. They spent their days searching for cheese—their metaphor for success, happiness, and fulfillment. But one day, the cheese was gone. It had happened before, and now it was happening again. And instead of moving forward, many of us today are still standing in the empty station, asking, "Who moved my cheese?" ??

But here’s the truth: Superman isn’t coming. ????♂? The Avengers aren’t assembling to fix this for us. The world has changed, and it will keep changing. The old cheese isn’t coming back. And yet, so many of us are trapped in a cycle—just like Groundhog Day ??, reliving the same frustrations, debates, and disappointments over and over. The question isn’t who moved the cheese anymore. It’s what new cheese can we find? ????

The Characters in Today’s World ??

Sniff ?? still has his instincts. He sees the shift happening before most and moves quickly, adapting to new realities. He isn’t worried about what was lost—he’s focused on what’s ahead. ??

Scurry ??♂? doesn’t overthink—he just moves. He might not always have the perfect plan, but he takes action. If one path doesn’t work, he finds another. He stays in motion and figures it out along the way. ?

Haw ?? has learned his lesson. He hesitated before, but now he laughs at himself, realizing fear kept him stuck. He embraces the unknown, understanding that growth comes from moving forward—even if it means leaving comfort behind. ??

Hem ?, however, is still waiting. Still complaining. Still longing for the past and arguing that things should go back to the way they were. But the walls of Cheese Station Old are closing in, and Hem is running out of time. ?

The New Cheese: Stop Fighting for What Didn’t Work ??

Many of us are stuck fighting for things that, at best, provided temporary relief but never truly changed the game for us. We protest, argue, and double down on old solutions that never really moved the needle. It’s time to stop trying to resurrect the past and start exploring what’s possible. ??

  • ?? What kind of cheese might exist in a new station?
  • ?? What opportunities are waiting that we haven’t considered?
  • ?? How can we transform our minds, bodies, and souls to be ready for what’s next?

The truth is, life isn’t fair. The system is imperfect. But waiting for someone else to fix it keeps us powerless. We must stop looking for saviors and start becoming the change we need. ?? Protect your peace. ??? Find your calm in the chaos. ?? Move with the cheese. ??♀?

Moving Forward: A New Mindset for a New Maze ??

  1. Get Curious Again ?? – Instead of asking, Why did this happen? start asking, What’s next? Explore new paths, industries, and skills. The world is evolving, and so should you. ??
  2. Laugh at Yourself ?? – Haw learned to laugh at his past mistakes. He realized he wasted time fearing change instead of embracing it. The same applies to us. Let go of the doom and gloom. ??
  3. Take Action ?? – Sniff and Scurry didn’t sit around analyzing why the cheese disappeared. They moved. Overthinking leads to paralysis. Action leads to progress. ?
  4. Let Go of the Old Cheese ??? – The past served its purpose, but clinging to it won’t bring it back. Stop grieving over what’s lost and start searching for what’s next. ??
  5. Embrace the Unknown ?? – Yes, it’s scary. But new opportunities exist beyond what we see now. The sooner we move, the sooner we find them. ??

Life doesn’t wait. Neither should you. The maze has changed, and so must we. So, let’s stop standing around in the old station waiting for cheese that isn’t coming back. Let’s sniff, scurry, and Haw our way forward. ??

Because if we don’t move with the cheese, we’ll get left behind. ??♂???

This is spot on what is happening in the workplace right now. Employees are scared and mad at the same time. Mad about coming into work full time again, scared they may lose their job. I love this post, thanks Dr. Cherry
