Despite negative news surrounding COVID-19 and the looming threat of an economic recession, Italian brands have mostly recovered after a challenging year. This year's Kantar BrandZ? most valuable Italian brands ranking has risen by 11%, to reach a total brand value of $114.6 billion.
Luxury brands are ranking very well among other brands( food, telecoms, cars, and energy suppliers) for this year. Three luxury brands are ranking in the top ten.
1.Gucci
As Italian brands prove their worth, Gucci retains the top position for a third year. With a brand value of $33.8 billion, Gucci is one of the world's most valuable and prominent luxury brands.
Gucci has seen its brand value rise by 12% in just one year. To maintain its saliency, Gucci is increasingly focused on digital. It's investing further in its online brand experience, keeping pace with the changes in retail while offline retail is being affected by new technology.
2.Prada
Prada is one of the most famous Italian fashion houses founded in 1913 by Mario Prada. It specializes in handbags, shoes, bags, and accessories.
The past six years haven't been easy at all for the Italian fashion house. For a very long time, Prada has had to fight to stay competitive with many other luxury brands that have been able to appeal to younger, more digitally native consumers in the market. However, their efforts are finally paying off.

While other brands have floundered from a long period of success, Prada was fortunate to have had the foresight to review its business models years before the pandemic hit it.
For this year, Prada is sixth on the list of top-ten brands. The brand value is 3,974 billion.
3.Fendi
Fendi is an Italian fashion brand known for its luxury fur accessories, leather goods, and ready-to-wear. It is an internationally appreciated brand that is known for its quality craftsmanship.
?In the most valuable Italian brands ranking,? Fendi is eighth with a value of 3.19 billion.
The success of Italian luxury brands is evident because they hold a significant portion of the highest-valued brands in several categories. There are 12 categories represented in the ranking, which reflects the diverse strengths of Italian business. High-end fashion, food, telecoms, cars, and energy suppliers all appear in the Top 10.
Substantial brand equity and agility have protected Italian brands from the crisis. While competitors are suffering, Italian brands are recovering quickly and remain resilient.
