Moses Sahr Fayiah, affectionately known as "King Ngolie," is a multifaceted individual whose journey from humble beginnings to professional success is marked by resilience, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to education and community service. Born on May 13, 1989, in Koindu town, Kissi Teng Chiefdom, Kailahun district in Sierra Leone's Eastern Province, Moses's early life was shaped by the nurturing influence of his parents, the late Mr. Fayiah????? Nyuma, a farmer and blacksmith, and the late Mrs. Kumba Hawa Fayiah. His early life was marked by significant hardship, including the tragedy that struck him early at the age of 10 when he lost his mother in a refugee camp on May 12, 1998. Despite the loss, Moses's childhood was enriched by the presence of his four brothers and two younger sisters, forming a close-knit family unit.
Moses began his education in a refugee camp called Owei Jiba in Guinea, where he completed his primary education. In 2003, he returned to Koindu to reunite with his family and continue his studies at Kissi??? Bendu Secondary School. He completed his Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in 2005. The same year, Moses moved to Freetown to live with his eldest cousin, the late Mrs. Josephine Sia?? Kargbo, who was instrumental in his personal growth and development. In November 2005, Moses enrolled at the Sierra Leone Muslim?????? Congress in Kissy Mess Mess for his senior secondary education. He sat for the West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) in 2008, achieving three credits and two passes, which were insufficient for university admission. On June 15th, 2008, he suffered the loss of his father, compounding the challenges he faced.
In 2009, Moses began working as a security guard for Trust Security Service in Freetown, where he lived with Mr. John Sesay for three years. His encounter with the Redemption Praise Church International marked a turning point.
The love and support he received from the church community led him to relocate there, where Rev. Dr. Morris Durman Sesay employed him as a teacher for the National Primary School Examination (NPSE) class. Motivated by his experiences, Moses retook the WASSCE in 2012, earning six credits. This accomplishment allowed him to pursue higher education. In November 2012, Moses was accepted into Fourah Bay College, University of Sierra Leone, where he studied History and Political Science, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree on April 22, 2017. During his university years, he volunteered with various organizations, including a local organization called Democracy Sierra Leone, where he formed lasting friendships and expanded his network.
Moses's professional career blossomed as he volunteered for various organizations immediately after his graduation in 2017, including Democracy Sierra Leone where he made numerous connections. In 2018, Moses joined Bear Holdings Group as the Personal Assistant to the CEO, Mr. Mansa through the connection of his university day’s friend Marion Musa, and was later promoted to Office Manager. His career continued to progress, and in 2020 he became the?Communications Officer at the Sierra Leone Agricultural?Research Institute (SLARI), where he currently serves as the head of the Communications and Knowledge Management Unit. His role involves international travel and training, further honing his communication skills.

?Throughout his career, Moses has demonstrated a strong commitment to education and community development is evident in his philanthropic efforts. In 2015, Moses founded the Girl Child Education Advocacy Network - Sierra Leone (GCEAN-SL), a charity organization dedicated to supporting young girls in their educational pursuits. Despite facing personal challenges, through this organization, he has provided school supplies and organized seminars to educate girls about their rights. Moses continued his academic journey by enrolling in a Master's program in Diplomacy and International Relations at Fourah Bay College in 2021, graduating on April 23, 2024, enhancing his expertise and broadening his professional horizons. His passion for professional growth and community development remains evident in his leadership roles and volunteer work. Moses's international experience includes attending three communication skills trainings in Dakar, Senegal, where he received certificates for his participation.
