African Americans - The Jewish People Need Your Help!
The appalling anti-Semitism raging across American society has manifested in ways Jews never imagined. For generations, the Jewish-American experience has been characterized by tolerance, understanding, and acceptance. Long before the devastation brought about by Adolf Hitler's vision of Judenrein and later The Final Solution, Jews steadily arrived and settled in America. Between the years 1820 and 1924, a veritable surge of Jewish immigration took place. These European and Soviet Jews sought refuge from persecution, political upheaval, economic hardship, and tyranny abroad. They came to the Golden Land of America – a bastion of hope for a long-suffering people. The Jewish population grew 100-fold during this period, from a meager 3,000 in 1820 to 300,000 by 1880.
This pales in comparison to the massive influx of Jews from Eastern European nations years later, where unprecedented hardship befell the Jewish people. It is estimated that some 2.5 million Jews flowed into America, many of them speaking Yiddish. A close-knit community, the Jews stuck together and maintained social, cultural, and religious affiliations while also gradually integrating and assimilating into mainstream society. The first generation of immigrants were more closed off than their progeny. However, each successive generation of American Jews blended into mainstream culture with dramatically outsized contributions to society and the world. Jewish influence in America has baffled detractors, anti-Semites, and ethnocentric groups of people for eons. However, the Jewish experience has always been benevolent towards fellow citizens. Despite humble beginnings and extreme hardship, Jewish parents were determined that their children would have better lives than them.
This was indeed possible in America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. Without the cruel and hateful restrictions they were subjected to in the USSR and across Europe, Jews began to reap the fruits of their labors. They quickly established the family unit, providing for one another and the greater Jewish community. Yet, this was not done in isolation – Jewish benevolence extended far beyond the confines of Jewish enclaves. As an increasingly integrated people, Jews attended colleges and became tenured professors, doctors, lawyers, scientists, business leaders, politicians, and justices. However, they never lost sight of social issues, particularly during the civil rights movement. Indeed, many Jews joined the ranks alongside Martin Luther King African-Americans and championed their cause. To this day, MLK African-Americans fondly recall that Jews stood shoulder to shoulder with them during their struggles for equal rights. And it was a brutal time - make no bones about it.
Over the years, seismic shifts have occurred, with a growing divide forming between the Jewish community and large parts of the African-American community. The BLM movement certainly doesn't represent the MLK African-American population, but it is indicative of a significant divide between these two minority groups of people in the U.S. The Black Lives Matter movement manifested in such a way that it positioned itself as a reactionary force of anarchists as opposed to a legitimate movement intent on uplifting the plight of impoverished, underrepresented, and unfairly treated African Americans. BLM lost credibility because it is inherently corrupt. It resorts to anarchy, mayhem, and domestic terrorism to achieve its pre-stated goals. On October 7, 2023, the Chicago chapter of BLM showed solidarity with the Hamas attacks against innocent Israeli civilians – everyday Jewish people, who have nothing to do with the socioeconomic or political issues of black people in the United States. Yet, this group of radicalized agitators – in the same vein as the hateful Louis Farrakhan – decided to mobilize their resources by going vehemently against the Jews.
That same vitriol, hatred, and intolerance displayed by BLM was evident at college campuses across the United States. Large portions of the African-American community forgot that Jews stood shoulder-to-shoulder with them during their hour of need. It should be reiterated that this is not indicative of the entire population – it appears to be the younger generation of African Americans who are more susceptible to the advances of radical Islamists, anarchists, Marxists, and socialists. Perhaps the stereotype of Jewish prosperity is such an anathema to people who have nothing that they become easy targets because of it. Indeed, the ravages of COVID-19, soaring inflation, and a sluggish global economy have contributed to the resentment against Jewish people, not just by African Americans but by many Caucasians, Asians, Latinos, and other groups of people. It is the blood libel playing out all over again – when times are tough, blame the Jews. This begs the question: What percentage of African Americans support Jewish people and Israel? We know for a fact that President Biden's tepid support of Israel angers a considerable number of black clergy members. These folks have substantial numbers in their churches, which concerns the incumbent in the White House. Yet, there are many instances of Blacks and Jews standing side-by-side – Senator Rafael Warnock and Senator Jon Osoff of Georgia are cases in point.
According to the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, the majority of black Americans want a more active U.S. role in ending the war in Gaza and protecting Palestinian lives. But nothing is said about the slaughter of 1400 Israelis and the many thousands wounded by the savagery of Hamas terrorists. The one-sided approach adopted by many in the African-American community is shocking and repugnant. It smacks of bias, indoctrination, and naivete. Beyond that, the myopic focus of this contingent in the African-American community leaves us scratching our heads about the abysmal failure of the education system in the United States. How can it be that the African-American community – people who genuinely understand hardship, suffering, and ill-treatment – sides with an oppressive militarist, autocratic, dictatorial regime in Gaza, a.k.a. Hamas, over a democratic system of governance in Israel, which embraces people of all races, colors, and creeds. It is abhorrent. It is shameful. It is asinine. Radical Islamism has infiltrated the African-American community. But it's more than that. It's activism through mass action, violence, intimidation, and unlawful conduct bordering on insurrection that has gripped the youth of the African-American community. Clearly, frustrations are being vented, and this does not bode well for peaceful relations between these groups and Jewish people. America has deep socioeconomic divisions, racial tensions, and a festering disequilibrium. And yet this misplaced anger has found refuge in rampant anti-Semitism. This is the same old story playing out.
Jews did nothing to provoke this unprecedented rage and virulent anti-Semitism. If defending oneself against a real genocidal threat is a reason to be hated, then so be it. No other nation on earth would tolerate what Israel has tolerated. Not the Russians, not the Americans, not the French, not the British, not the Japanese, not the Italians, and certainly not the Australians would allow their citizens to be massacred by the thousand and sit back and do nothing about it. It is unconscionable that the world condemns Israel for doing what every other government is duty-bound to do – protect its citizens. That any group of people, particularly a minority such as the African-American community, the Hispanic community, or the Asian community, would even think of condemning Israel Is reprehensible. In this case, the Jewish people and the State of Israel are beyond reproach. The kowtowing to anarchists, radical Islamists, Jew-haters, white nationalists, Marxists, socialists, and self-loathing Jews is sick. Our government has a solemn duty and responsibility to protect what is right and just.

When did society accept that rape is resistance? When did society accept that terrorists should brutalize women? When did society accept that mass murderers should be given a pass and victims should be persecuted? When did society start to believe that it is better to provide a reprieve for Nazi-ISIS-style terrorists and slap restraints on the State of Israel? This is a wretched inversion of morality, extreme cognitive dissonance, and the vilest form of Jew hatred the world has ever seen. Never before in modern history have we seen so many anti-Semitic elements festering in full public view – the ICC seeking arrest warrants for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defence Minister Gallant? Where do people get off with moral equivocation between a known genocidal group - Hamas, and the democratically elected government of Israel? There is no moral equivalence whatsoever.
Why in the hell did all the members of the Security Council show any respect whatsoever for the Butcher of Tehran, the erstwhile President Ebrahim Raisi, and his savage henchmen? Where was the minute of silence for the hundreds of Israeli abductees ripped away from their homes, their families, and their lives by the genocidal, radical Islamist group Hamas? Where was the minute of silence for the 1200 butchered Israelis, Bedouins, foreign workers, and tourists on October 7, 2023? The only silence that Jews were privy to was a deafening silence from the world. But it wasn't out of respect; it was out of apathy. Nobody gives a continental damn about Jewish pain and suffering. While the world has certainly come a long way since the Holocaust perpetrated by Nazi Germany, aided and abetted by fascist governments in Italy, Ukraine, Spain, Austria, France, and others, very little has changed when it comes to the raging fires of anti-Semitism. Jew hatred is very much alive in 2024, and that's a big problem for you and I.
As Jewish people, we want our fellow Americans to get the facts straight. The Jewish people have every right to their homeland, Israel. It is a covenant between God and the people of Israel that dates back to biblical times. Even if you don't believe in the Bible, there is archaeological evidence spanning millennia, inextricably tying the Jewish people to Israel. There are genealogical links, evidenced by DNA testing. We will never apologize for supporting our people's right to Israel. We will never acquiesce to your demands that we should be a stateless people. An unprotected people. A people without a voice. A people without a place to call home. You can forget about it – it's never going to happen. Israel was. Israel is. Israel always will be. It is the eternal home of the Jewish people. 'But why should Jews have their own country?' they cry. The duplicity is so apparent that it's shameful. Yet, it's okay for 22 Muslim-majority countries to exist, but one tiny Jewish country is an utter abomination to the world? It is disgraceful that anybody would dare to question the existence, legitimacy, and right of Israel to exist as the eternal Jewish homeland.
So, who are the Jews trying to reach out to? When the world suffers from myopia, we look for people with vision. We will join arms with the good people of the world who realize that hating Jews and delegitimizing Israel is wrong. I'm calling on the African-American community, Christians across the board, Hindus, atheists, non-conformers, the LGBTQ+ community, liberals, conservatives, libertarians, and anyone with a moral compass not clouded by hatred to step forward. We are not looking to preach to the choir but to grow our tent. We accept anyone and everyone who stands for what is right, what is just, and what is equitable. The time has come to align with the light, not the darkness. It may be hard for some to believe that Hamas - the bloodthirsty savages - do not represent the interests of peace and coexistence. But it is a fact. Their Charter calls for the annihilation of all Jews in Israel. If given the chance, they would commit an actual genocide on an epic scale and reduce a functioning society to rubble, hatred, intolerance, autocracy, totalitarianism, and Sharia law. And yes, the West is next.
Do not for a second believe that the freedoms you hold dear will exist under such a system of governance. Nothing flourishes in a hateful environment. Everything dies a slow, painful, and miserable death. It is time to abandon long-held mistaken beliefs about Israel and the Jewish people. It is time to see reality for what it is. Jews do not hold grudges against you. We welcome you to stand with us. But we have much work to do. We must vote out this corrupt government, clean out the radicalized pro-Hamas State Department, and install leaders who clearly understand the distinction between right and wrong. There is no moral equivalence between Israel and Hamas. Jews are not your enemy. We are here to build this society alongside you, now and always. Our Judaeo-Christian country cannot function under radical Islamist doctrine. I beseech you, fellow citizens, to reconsider your stance on Israel. You are our brothers and our sisters. Let us move forward to a period of enlightenment, growth, and development. The time is NOW! Am Yisrael Chai.

5 个月Brett C. Part 1 Louis Farrakhan~ Marxism~ BLM. It is the youth that generally falls into the trap and they think that people my age are out of touch with the Black Community. These are folks I’ve been on mission trips with in the past. Even when you let them know that you support and stand with Alveda King who would not bend her knee to BLM. The Church in America is infested with people ~ preachers ~ pastors ~ Christian Leaders who are not doing their jobs ~ duties on many fronts. The Church is being destroyed because of their lack of knowledge. There are a handful of Christians in the world and likewise a handful of Jews too. It’s a small number that stands together. Take the Federal money out of the school system, college’s and universities. Break the chains of the lender in this case The Big Woke Ideologists Government that is feeding this filthy garbage to the children of America.

6 个月I’m going to poke the bear by throwing out a few words like: social envy and culture of self victimisation. Mix those with the new en vogue narratives of “ post colonialism “ and “ white occupation and oppression of the native “ plus a dash of Judith Butler and alikes , a pinch of socialism et voilá you will get the toxic cocktail of today’s antisemitism of the so called “ progressive intellectual elite “ . Take someone like Nikole Hannah Jones - who, even after the antisemitic hate fests on campuses, is still wallowing in the fact that antisemitism is something like a walk in the park because no one can experience racism and prejudice except those who are non white. - Soft sciences like history, sociology, ethnology, philosophy, cultural studies et al have been promoting for years a world view of oppressors and oppressed and strictly categorising who can belong to the “ illustrious” group of the oppressed. If you don’t belong to the eternally victimised - you are the oppressor hence you cannot be a victim. Everything you do is evil and in order to stay in power. Whatever the “ oppressed “ is doing is “resistance “ per se.A carte blanche for murder, rape, violence, intimidation. This ideology has to get off curricula . Now
