Konrad Ernst Otto Zuse was a German civil engineer, pioneering computer scientist, inventor and businessman. His greatest achievement was the world's first programmable computer; the functional program-controlled Turing-complete Z3 became operational in May 1941.?
- German Engineer 1936
- Realized that you could add numbers with yes and no - add and minus
- He made the machine and released it in 1936
- You programed it with levers to do operations for engineering.
- He invented the computer.
- He was conscripted?byt?the Nazi germans before world war 2 started to make a bigger machine to work out wing dynamics.
- Right so
- Machine would have been leaked to?USA?and UK intelligence.
- Polish got some info and gave to the UK secret service.
- UK secret service started making a machine that was a bomb... ?
- But the Zeus machine must have been known by UK and?USA?spies and released to Bletchley park.
- My theory is the Spys released the?Zues?machine to AT&T ( bell labs)
While working at Bell Labs, mathematician George Stibitz experimented with relays at home. He developed a circuit to add binary numbers, which led to a relay-based computer.
- This Complex Number Calculator, operational in 1940, was demonstrated remotely at a conference using a Teletype – the first computer accessed over a phone line.that guy realized you can make a binary adder with two valves...
- Very clever - but did he know about Zeus machine that did this mechanically and therefore was on a pursuit to do the same job electronically.
- Either way once Zeus had proven concept --making it electrical was incredible but to not the inventor.
- UK had written Boolean logic so could adapt complex maths into Yes and No
- The it was an engineering problem
- Step in Govt, Mil and Uni who made the first computers...
- Ever since then - improved and refined..
- Invention goes to Conrad Zuse. A German Nazi whose name has always been somewhat suppressed from history
Konrad Ernst Otto Zuse Invented the Computer.
Chief Executive Officer at Digital Generation New Zealand
1 年Analytical Engine Had already proven Conditional Branching... so ENIAC really cant claim this totally..
Chief Executive Officer at Digital Generation New Zealand
1 年Konrad Ernst Otto Zuse invented the computer and needs to be formally recognized I think in the West

1 年Whats I am saying is the USA spies leaked info of the Zues to BellLabs... Nothing I have found to prove this - just a theory.
