Who is hiding behind your cellular routers?! Introducing MAC-Lock(TM) for Private 5G/LTE Security

As the Enterprise sector modernizes and increasingly adopts private 5G & LTE cellular networks and relies on IoT devices, new security risks should be considered carefully.??

Since there are not enough cellular-based IoT devices today, enterprises use solutions such as cellular routers to mitigate the gap and connect IoT devices to the cellular network, both for cabled (IP) and Wi-Fi devices. In these cases, there is a blind spot behind the router, and enterprises don’t know which device is connected behind the router.?

Similar to how mobile operators use SIM-Lock to lock a specific device IMEI to their SIM, OneLayer collects information such as MAC addresses of the devices connected behind the router and correlates it to the router’s SIM together with other identifiers to create a MAC-Lock(TM). The OneLayer solution also identifies activities, such as new devices connecting to the router or existing devices disconnecting from it, and provides relevant alerts. OneLayer creates ONEID, which crosses identities and enables organizations to track and secure their devices.
