Who Got The Power? We Got The Power!

Usually, when The Chrysalis Crew achieve something momentous, introduce something new or do something quirky I’m all over social media to tell the world about it. 

This time is different. 

Because this time, I’m different. 

For the past three days, I’ve been a participant in #ThePowerOfHR

Last night, I slept the best I have for many, many weeks... a deep, dreamless, cleansing sleep that was beautiful to wake from. 

My heart and soul feel lighter and happier than they have in a long time. 

I’m more aware of my world today, the sun’s warmth, the birdsong, my cats purring - everything sounds louder, clearer somehow, and presented in glorious technicolour. 

And I’m thankful, so very thankful for having the opportunity to meet new people, people who had come to share in ‘The Power’, and people I now share a profound bond with. 

That may sound like a load of pretentious crap, but it’s genuine, as are my feelings for those wonderful kick-ass Power Buddies! 

Guys, I ?? you. 

I’m not planning to conquer the world with my new found empowerment and sense of being. I can’t fix Brexit, I can’t singlehandedly fight climate change but I can, and will impact my own world and make the changes I need to make. 

I’ve a notebook of words, thoughts and feelings to guide me. 

I’ve a ‘Power Of HR’ playlist of ‘walk-on’ songs to provide a powerful soundtrack to all that life can throw at me. 

And I’ve a group of the most bloody awesome friends and Power Buddies to catch me if I stumble and celebrate my bravery when I’m ready to take that ONE step and break through my barrier.
