Who of the first was there? The egg or the hen?…
Human Asset S.A.
Education is expensive. Ignorance is even more ! ... Learn & Practice, develop your collective skills. Embark!
Chi sa ??Non si sarà mai ! …
I have my own hypothesis on the egg and the hen but I keep it for me???... My idea, however, is that one should not keep asking him/herself the question again and again but step forward?! And accept changing mindset in order to do so (move forward).
These two days CREA - OMNES Education , CREA Geneva, were dedicated to Change Management.
How to teach Change management?to somewhat quite young students (Gen Z like my third child)? What does it mean for them?? Change is a permanent data they were just born with!..
Does it mean it’s a non issue for them then?? Not at all!
Actually, if they are quite familiar with adaptation to permanent ??small??, or more consequent, changes with the technology they use and adapt to it extremely fast, when it comes to change one’s mindset, looking at things differently (objects, situations, problems to solve, people, love affairs, etc.), they have actually no competitive advantage on senior people, unless senior people gave up on these issues, but then it’s not anymore a question of generation???... ????
The question then, is more about how to teach and train them with these issues than what to teach them.
And here again, it’s crucial to help them understand why it is important to learn and why we teach this way ( a way sometimes perceived as a bit hard but actually extremely appreciated in the end...). This is actually the real issue with Gen Z confronted at work to people who could be their grandpas.
But this is our today’s workplace and according to me and my little experience of teaching and training for over 15 years now (Yes, I was a f… head hunter before and even worse, an Advertising Director before that... ??Pensa te?…? as say italians.

To get back with the real issue about intergenearational management, the key words are definitely?: "Ad apts", i.e. add more aptitudes and soft skillls such as #real_flexibility, #sound_assertiveness, a #definite_ability_to_observe? and decide what’s acceptable and what’s not, and why, instead of ??interpreting?? upfront. Easy? Not at all, requires expert skills in applied neurosciences and some pedagogiv=cal skills as well ??.??
These youngsters I spent two days this week, a day the week before and some others in the near future learning and practicing on different topics. They are studying Business Management and dedicate themselves to entrepreneurship: it was a true pleasure for me as an investor myself in start-ups (and some interest from them it seemed), to share experience as far as management issues are concerned within this particular species of organisations. How to manage growth from a managerial point of view, how to deal with failure (maybe the best learning experiences one can live and learn from in a business environment, wish I had exeprienced it also???…).
Recruiters, you, former colleagues and clients, please change your mindset as well and seek young entrepreneurs who failed starting with entrepreurship in their career, Accept they bring the learnings from their rich experience to your organisation. A young entrepreneur who failed can become a fantastic intrapreneur! I’ve heard this is the type of employees you are looking for since a decade or so, insn't it???…
What do you think?
?? Thank you youngsters to enable me to live such rich experiences with you. And thank you Emilie LASSALLE and Philippe Galland for your mind openness to enable these types of cross generations fruitful mutual learning experiences. ?
