I like the first part of my contract to be the need to find a successor, Mike. It focuses me and the company. It could be that after a contract, I become my successor, but rarely.

This puts me in the mind of change management. In organizations or businesses with great change management culture and systems in place, this question, "who will fill your shoes" is an everyday question. I often imagine that tomorrow may not be, so I don't miss an opportunity to share what I know and have experienced to help my team. I don't want an exit of regret.
