Who are Europe's top 100 future tech founders?
As we announced a couple of weeks ago, EF's new fund has allowed us to radically scale up the number of founders we back to build deep technology startups over the next three years.
This means that we're looking for 100 wildly ambitious, deeply technical individuals to join our sixth cohort in March 2016.
It's just four years since we started EF, but it's striking to me how many things are possible today that were almost inconceivable in 2011. In fact, during the time that our third cohort were with us, computers surpassed humans in visual identification tasks for the first time. Machine learning is perhaps the most obvious example, but there have been similar rates of progress in a broad range of fields - from virtual reality to security to robotics. We love working with experts in these areas who want to apply their knowledge to huge problems.
Indeed, the sectors where these technologies are having an impact are broader than ever before. There is now truly no industry that software is not "eating". Our 37 portfolio companies are attacking areas as diverse as agriculture, philanthropy, education, healthcare and insurance.
All this means that our March 2016 should be our highest impact yet. We want to find the 100 people with the most ambitious visions, the most extraordinary determination and the deepest technical skills in Europe - and to work closely with them to turn their ideas and knowledge into global companies.
If you think you have what it takes - or you know people who do - applications are open now. Apply here.
