eargym is now B Corp Certified

What does this mean?

  • B Corps are businesses verified by B Lab UK to meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.?
  • Achieving B Corp certification is important for us as a whole team to demonstrate our commitment to using business as a force for good.
  • We’ve been mission-led from day one and so applying for B Corp certification always felt like a natural step for us as a business. Becoming certified is really just the beginning; we now have a great foundation in place for our social and environmental responsibility that will continue to evolve as our business grows.

What’s next?

  • We will be sharing more about what lies in store for eargym over the coming months. For now, it means we can continue to improve the world’s hearing and contribute to important research on the link between hearing loss and dementia.
  • We’re keen to get in touch with other B Corps and help them expand their social responsibility to raise awareness about hearing health. If anyone is interested in exploring opportunities to work together, please get in touch with co-founder Andy Shanks .

How addressing hearing health in your company could result in a 1:16 ROI

Why hearing loss is an issue

Did you know that 1 in 6 employees are disabled by hearing loss?

Hearing loss is severely unaddressed in the workplace for such a prevalent issue and is often referred to as the missing piece in benefit offerings. Most companies offer dental and eye care, so why not hearing care too??

Unaddressed hearing loss costs the UK economy £25 billion every year due to stress-related lost productivity and early retirement. However, it can be cost-effective and easy to address the issue.

Providing hearing care for you and your employees is more than just a health and well-being benefit, it could have a tangible impact on your organisation’s financial bottom line.?

What are the financial benefits of tackling hearing loss in the workplace?

  • Unaddressed hearing loss is linked with increased anxiety and stress levels, ultimately leading 40% of impacted employees to retire up to 9 years earlier than their co-workers.
  • According to a report from the WHO, for every $1 invested into hearing care, you can expect to yield a return of $16 over 10 years. This is possible by supporting your employees and providing early intervention and accessible care.

Calculate how much your business could save

We have a purpose-built cost-saving calculator which evaluates the financial benefits companies could see by implementing hearing care.?This is calculated by taking into account company size, revenue, employee turnover, and the evidence-backed improvement our hearing training.

We would be happy to arrange a quick exploratory call with any company to create a custom proposal. If you are interested in seeing how much impact hearing care could have on your business, get in touch with co-founder Andy Shanks today.

What is eargym doing for Longevity Week?

Maintaining healthy hearing is an essential part of improving longevity. This can lead to social isolation, increased feelings of loneliness, as well as potentially doubling the risk of dementia.?Find out more about the link here.
