WHO IS THE ELITIST

Vince Mattia, ? 2nd Humble Point Man, called me an Elitist. "Sorry, Lloyd Budzinski B.Sc., J.D., K.C., But you're a minority on this platform. You're out of touch if you still don't see Mark Carney as more dangerous than JT. LinkedIn is for entrepreneurs, not retired Eastern elites. I suggest FB or a TO speaking circuit. Good day, sir."
SO LETS DISCUSS WHO IS THE ELTIST? YOUR OPINION IS WANTED!
While it may be tempting to dismiss differing opinions by labelling individuals as"retired eastern elite" or suggesting they relocate to a different platform, this perspective misses the more significant point about the essence of free speech and the importance of diverse voices in any discourse.
First, let's examine the term"elitist." An elitist believes that a select group of individuals should wield power or influence due to their perceived superiority. In the context of free speech, elitism manifests when a group decides that only certain voices are worthy of being heard, effectively silencing others. This contradicts the principles of open dialogue and democracy, where diverse perspectives should coexist and be given a fair platform.
By suggesting that specific individuals do not belong on a platform like LinkedIn, we risk embodying the hypocrisy we claim to stand against. Suppose we criticize elitist behaviours yet engage in gatekeeping based on personal biases. In that case, we are no better than exclusive country clubs that shut their doors to people based on arbitrary criteria. Through robust, open debate, we challenge ideas and promote growth. Silencing voices only breeds resentment and division.
The notion that LinkedIn is exclusively for entrepreneurs ignores the broader societal implications. LinkedIn is a modern public square where ideas are exchanged, challenged, and refined.

Excluding voices based on subjective judgments perpetuates division and hinders our collective understanding. Its the ultimate statement of snoberry, that's Elitism at it highest point, Vince, the humble point man
Regarding the comparison between Mark Carney and JT, it is crucial to recognize that differing opinions are valuable in any democratic society. Labelling someone as""out of touc"" simply because they hold a different view on a political figure or issue stifles meaningful discussion. Instead, let's engage in constructive dialogue backed by facts and critical analysis rather than resorting to dismissive labels and exclusion.
Rather than embracing elitism and hypocrisy, let us champion inclusivity and open discourse. By allowing diverse voices to be heard, we strengthen the fabric of our society and uphold the true spirit of free speech.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO SHUT OUT THE TRUTH OR THE FULL STORY SO PEOPLE CANNOT JUDGE THE TRUTH FOR THEMSELVES? YOU WANT TO MANIPULATE INFORMATION, REMEMBER JONI MITCHELL'S SONG "BOTH SIDES NOW" IT CALLED WISDOM.

2 周Elites enjoy extraordinary advantages in education, professional experience, insider knowledge, influence and decision network connections, and resources. Elites set the agenda. However, the brilliance of Representative Democracy (when it hasn't been captured, as it is now), is giving the People a veto. If the Elite agenda is taking the town/county/state/nation in directions and imposing effects that the People can't accept, then they can "kick the bums out", and clear the way for the agenda of a different Elite segment - revolt sans guillotine. However, "2-parties under the big money, indivisible" prevents the People's veto, leaving the path open for demagogues, and overt mob violence if even populism fails to placate the outraged masses. Extraction teams, yachts, private islands and doomsday ranches may save the cream of the Elite in the event of societal collapse, but most Elites will go down with the Ship of State. It's surprising to me not that the 1% of the 1% are deploying cash-out techniques against our Nation, but that the 99% of the 1% are countenancing it. If you don't have the means to escape the consequences of social collapse, then you shouldn't be contributing your Elite expertise and money to realizing it.

2 周Although Lloyd Budzinski B.Sc., J.D., K.C. and I often disagree on many topics here, this is what makes LinkedIn great. We come from very different backgrounds but can have robust conversations with the hope of learning from each other. Name-calling and insults are never needed on here—even if either of us has ever been guilty of such.
