He have mastered his studies in the field from a university in the UK from 2009 to 2011. He also has a 10 - year of experience as a Hotelier as well. He have also been attached to the Jumeirah Carlton Tower of London during his stay in the UK. From 2015 to 2017, he began his career as an Independent Chauffeur Guide lecturer.

In 2017, DT Travels took flight, piloted by Destry, as the founder. This one-man show quickly gathered speed as the team at DT Travels gradually grew, faster and wider. From 2017 to 2019 there main market was India & Far East including Malaysia & Singapore. DT Travels, brand started to gain its momentum globally as the reliable Sri Lankan travel partner for booking personalized & Luxury tours to Sri Lanka. This brought them recognition and fame, from their clientele, who simply loved their genuine services. Through customer referrals and online fame, they were able to expand and offer their services to amazing destinations across the island.
