Who is doing the cooking?

Let me fill you in on the story.

My husby was born and raised in England.

When he finished high school, he was accepted into catering college.

So, husby learned how to create the most wonderful dishes ever!!!

-But he also had to endure many trials.

For instance one time he had a chef chase him while wielding a meat clever over his head.

They ran through the kitchen screaming and cursing...

Husby barely escaped into the walk-in cooler and slammed the door barely in time for the meat clever to sink deep into the exterior of the cooler door!

Sccaarreeyy!

But I digress.

When we finally met many years after he had emigrated to Canada, I heard many regales of his time in catering college.

So,

I'm thinking..."Oh! I won't have to do the cooking any longer!"

In retrospect, he also heard about my experiences cooking on the ranch for 15 hired men.

So,

He is thinking, "Oh! I won't have to cook any longer!"

Well...

Guess who does the cooking!

Life does not necessarily work out the way we think.

But that was also before I learned about "Imagineering" the results in my life.

Fast forward almost 30 years to today.

After raising 4 children, I found myself bouncing from pillar to post in different types of jobs.

I was a teacher for a bit, then a business consultant, and then a secretary and then a sales rep for several different companies.

Somehow, most everything I did was some kind of combination of teaching and sales.

I loved it!!!

Then came the fateful day that I was fired from my JOB.

What was I going to do?

Oh! I tried to get a job and sent out a myriad of resume's.

I managed to get 4 job interviews and one job offer for $10 an hour!

Can you believe it?

I was 61 at the time!

Try and find a job when you are over 60 and see where that gets you.

So...

Guess what I did!

Yup!

I started my own business!

-And it has been a struggle.

For sure!

There was no extra cash in the Till, cash register.

So the business was started on a "wing and a promise."

I set up my own website.

I didn't have SEO.

I didn't have CRM.

I didn't have lead capture funnels.

I didn't have text messaging.

My website didn't bring me even one customer!!!

So I cancelled my website in March of 2020.

Then in walked the solution to my dilemma of "how was I going to market my business more efficiently?"

We are showing an overview Tuesday and Thursday!
