Who doesn’t want to work from home?

The buzz nowadays is all about the difficulty of hiring people that want to go work back at the offices. New Talents straight out of College graduated from Online Classes and started to work from their newly built home offices. Many more like them have established their workspace and accommodated schedules to fit this lifestyle. Paying for expensive gas or the prospect of using public transportation exacerbates the situation for commuters. In addition, some found homes away from the city in more peaceful areas, with more space, better schools in nice neighborhoods for lower rent or possibly a mortgage. All of this?influences their decisions on coming back to the office. So, why would they?

Let’s face it. Good people demonstrated they can do the job away from the office. Why make them come back? Well, while we figure out the answer to this, I can tell you that many companies are being born on a remote base with very little to no time in offices. Some employees are now even reluctant to accept hybrid job offers. They are not interested in returning to the cubicles. We believe that building a model that works for them and helps increase productivity at the same time is a future scenario that more companies will embrace.

But there are complex issues that companies face and during the two-plus years of the pandemic, we invested in improving technology, interconnectivity, and creating a process that works.?We focused on helping our customers' employees work from home during these uncertain times. This included setting up teams that retained full PCI compliance from their homes. This was accomplished by ensuring the right processes with the right experience. Cameras were installed to surveil workplaces and record agent activities at all times thereby securing sensitive data such as credit cards, and financial or medical records among other critical customer information. Establishing secure VPN access to the customer's highly secured infrastructures and much more.

Management and first-line employees are acutely aware of how to direct focus to the same goals of achieving their objectives. So, does this mean we are ready for the Metaverse? Maybe not yet, but meantime, let us demonstrate how implementing the right processes for your contact center will help improve growth without having to rent a bigger building to bring in more agents. Your agents can continue working from home, the same as they have been throughout the pandemic.

How can we best ensure they do the work if they are not in the office?

These three tips are a start to ensuring employees are committed to the company’s needs.

  1. Invest in systems for your people instead of new construction. Enabling employees to feel comfortable using top-of-the-line technology, better computers, software, and softphones provided by your company, will increase retention, loyalty, and overall employee satisfaction. Incentivize your top employees with partial cost coverage for internet and energy expenses.?
  2. Focus on technology that makes their work more efficient. Agents are constantly swamped by different platforms, multiple screens, going to different applications, filling-in different forms, etc.
  3. Reallocate building expansion capital to hosting motivational events where everyone can come together, and possibly collect their quarterly bonuses or any awards that distinguish and recognize them during the period.

We believe that this can be a start to your efforts to bring the best talent on board without having to change their lives completely. Our technology together with our team provides the best products and insight to make this happen seamlessly. Contact us today to learn more.
