I'll tell you who - ??? this guy does! ??
Hi, my name is Stacy Edghill and I really do love all things social media. Why? I don't actually know ?? but if I were to try and put it into words I think it's because of the variety and insight you get into people.
I get excited with pretty much something every day and today it's a new feature so what better way to kick off my newsletter series by telling you about it.
LinkedIn Newsletters
LinkedIn did release this as a feature to a select few (I wasn't one of them ??) a while ago so you may have seen one or two of them popping up, but now it's being rolled out across the board (if you haven't got it as yet then look out, you will soon!).
To write one it's the same process as writing an article - click 'Write article' at the top of your newsfeed:
Then click 'Create a newsletter'
From there on out the look is very much like writing an article - so I'm discovering as I write this one.
So what's the difference between an article and a newsletter then? Your articles could be more about knowledge sharing. As a 'thought leader' getting your points across in an article will help you to establish your credibility. The information you put out in an article should stand the test of time, it shouldn't have an 'expiry date'.
Newsletters will be more about the here and now. Little tit bits of information, nuggets of advice and some fun!
You can invite your followers to 'Subscribe' to your newsletter. What a cool way to get you/your company seen and noticed. With any luck maybe even chosen!
Okay, that's the education piece for today (stepping into 'article territory there stacy...'). My advice - check out newsletters to see if they are right for you / your company (and don't forget to hit the 'subscribe' button for Socially Stacy!).

Often I talk about visibility and credibility. You need both to get the best out of LinkedIn (all social media really, but for today I'm focused on LinkedIn). As much as people like to say LinkedIn is 'for business', in reality it's a 'social media' platform - so let's be social (and still business!).
Okay, so where I am going with this is - yes you need to showcase your knowledge, but sometimes you just need to get yourself seen and a recent post of mine is a classic example.
Something that everyone can get involved in, not just those in your field, will get more engagement. More engagement means more people seeing you, the more they see you the more they get to see what your business is all about - visibility over credibility.
The poll asked what to put on a bacon roll as at 9am on Monday 15th November 2021 it has racked up: 13,563 views and 329 votes. My profile views have gone up 345% in the last week and I've had some conversations started, a couple of which may lead to new business.
Nowhere in my post did I mention my business.... ??
Course Date
My next course is next week on 24th November. LinkedIn Training for Companies. This course is great for marketers or owners/admins on company pages. In it I'll tell you all about how to get the best out of LinkedIn Pages (and more...).
Next month
I have some ideas of what to write next month but I'd also like to know what you want to read about so let me know in the comments and if you have any feedback then let me know that too!
Have a great day/week/month guys - speak soon!
