Usually I share advice and ideas with you. But today, I’m humbly asking you for your advice and ideas.?
Here’s my big question for you:?
Who do you know who’s role requires them to regularly perform well under intense pressure at work?
Here’s why I’m asking: I’m writing a book about the ways that people in stressful, highly demanding roles ensure they’re bringing out their best when they’re under the gun.
I want to chat with these flexible, adaptable professionals about how they keeping aiming high, and hitting the mark, even when they’re triggered in some way.
Maybe you know a cardiovascular surgeon who must have a steady hand to save lives.
You might know an IT director who must keep a network free from hacking, and it’s imperative that they respond rapidly and accurately to cyber threats.?
Perhaps a friend of yours or a family member is a lawyer who is frequently in court, arguing large, complex cases.
If you know a fire chief, a professional sports team manager, an ER doctor, or anyone else who has to perform optimally under pressure…I’d love you to introduce us.?
You’ll be helping me with my?a stretch goal to interview at least 30 people by November 30. I trust all of you in my LinkedIn network know at least one person with a demanding, high-stress role. And I know many of you love making connections.

So, here’s my request:?Please think of someone you know in a high stress role. Then, either:?
(a) comment by tagging them and sharing what they do
(b) connect us with a direct message on LinkedIn, or?
(c) send me a LinkedIn direct message with some background about the person so I can reach out
(d) if that's YOU, please drop me a direct message!
If you introduce me to someone who I interview and that interview winds up in my book, I’ll thank both of you in the manuscript. For any connection you can help me make, you’ll have my deep gratitude.
Thanks!
Now, over to YOU: Do you like making connections and introductions between people??

2 年this is great. What's so interesting is that pressure can be felt by frontline just as deeply as a CEO. In fact, I suspect the C-Suite know how to manager pressure better than some of their employees, especially the CX reps. We rarely train frontline people on how to do this.
