Who Are the Difficult People?

Who Are the Difficult People?

Anyone who acts in a way that you don’t know how to effectively manage would fit into that category.

That would include not only coworkers or team members, but also members of your own family.

When I recently did a little survey asking why we avoid dealing with these people here is what people said:

“I don’t want to create further conflict.”

“I am afraid of the negative consequences to the relationship”.

“Giving them feedback won’t change anything.”

“They are not open to hearing how they negatively impact others.”

“I don’t want to hurt their feelings.”

Whatever your reason for not dealing with difficult people, things will NOT change unless you do something to improve the situation.

?IT’s Tomorrow…

Noon EST on Dec. 27th , we will be discussing the following five different types of difficult people:

  • The Competitor?who believes that the winner takes all.
  • The “Never-ending” Storyteller?who occupies all the airtime with their stories.
  • The Public “Putdown” Artist?who plays Wreck-it Ralph by putting people down.
  • The Drama Queen or King?who loves to cause chaos and gain attention.
  • The Expert?who knows it all and is never wrong.?
