Who Defines Addiction?

Prevention is the opportunity to plant a seed.When some one is looking for support, do you routinely ask "what is/are your drug/s of choice?" Is it acceptable to assume that addiction can only be defined by substance misuse? I cut, I smoke, I eat, I do any drug I can, I'm addicted to getting high. Do they have to make"the cut"at your facility?
