Who cares about toilet, menstrual health and potty parity?

Do you talk about toilets as if it is an every day normal topic?

Mr Toilet does. So do many others who support the global sanitation movement, including the people at World Toilet Organization.

Why is it important to talk about toilets? Because 3.6 billion people in the world still do not have access to a safely managed sanitation service (WHO/UNICEF 2021).

Watch this short film, "Meet Mr. Toilet" directed by Jessica Yu, as well as the trailer to documentary film "Mr. Toilet: The World's #2 Man" by Lily Zepeda, to find out more.

Menstrual Hygiene and Menstrual Health

This sanitation sub-topic is an important one that World Toilet Organization wants to urge everyone to talk about and to lobby for positive changes. What we don't discuss, we cannot improve.

Lack of access to decent toilets and sanitary products forces girls in many parts of the world to miss or drop out of school. If this topic is close to your heart or relevant to you, do not miss the following LinkedIn posts:

Simply mentioning a few of them here:

Reflecting, we could have been a bit over-zealous in sharing the content. However, the truth is that there is so much to share in the space of the global sanitation movement and a lot more work to be done to ensure health, dignity and well-being for all, anywhere, anytime, through sustainable sanitation. Together, when we collaborate, there is a higher chance we can achieve this goal of sustainable sanitation for all.
