Who better to tell you about me, than me

One of the (many) advantages, in my opinion, of working with someone in external talent acquisition, is the reference process.

We get a search.

We go out and find a group of people that have the skillset.

Pitch it.

If candidate wants to move forward, we interview them, and then present to our client.

Obviously you develop your own opinions and beliefs and likes and dislikes about someone during this process.

When your opinion about someone you think is a rockstar, is first validated by your client, and then validated during the reference process, it feels really good.

We recently identified a leadership candidate as an A player, rockstar, whatever you want to call them but a high achiever.

He goes through way to lengthy and broken of a process but demonstrates poise the entire way through. Our client decides they want to make an offer and we immediately start reference process.

Below were the closing comments from our candidates second reference. (I could add a lot more from his first and third references.)

"He has been with our company for 17 years and his progression has been remarkable.?Cant speak high enough of the guy, he's a guy you can trust.?Never meet a more honest individual.?Never heard him cuss or lose his temper.?In 2016, half our facility collapsed due to a natural disaster and he was one of the first people in there with a shovel and a tool belt.?

It's a travesty for him not to be with us but he is such a bright young man.?He has a lot more potential than what he is doing.?He's the kind of guy you to go to war with."

It's a travesty for him to not be with us. I don't know what better you can say about a colleague you've worked with for 17 years.
