Who am I?

I was asked the other day by a person, I sometimes don’t know who I am and feel confused about what I am doing, if I should be doing it or not? My answer was that is a natural human reaction and a tactic of the enemy to divide our mind with confusion by interjecting subjectivity therefore trying to create doubt, fear, unbelief, and separation from God. I was then asked, so how do you deal with these types of thoughts? Well, there is only one thing, God, the great I am. Knowing who He is and just as important, knowing who we are in Him and with Him. The bible says in Exodus 3:14- 15, And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, what is his name? What shall I say unto them? And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you. The Name, “I AM” is the most iconic and recognizable name of God, and it is from this name that the name Jehovah or Yahweh comes from. Did you know that without speaking using your tongue and just simply breathing, Yahweh can be pronounced. In the New Testament the bible says in John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. And in Revelation 22, I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning, and the end, the first and the last. Being in and receiving Jesus Christ and His Holy Spirit comes with love, grace, and power and when God opens our eyes to see the world as He sees the world, only then can we even begin to grasp His majesty, His holiness, His power and greatness. As a new creation, as a born-again believer “in Christ, I realize my only proper motive is to know Him more. To know the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His suffering. Any suffering I will ever do for Jesus will pale in comparison to the suffering He did for me. It is all about knowing Jesus. Knowing Him intimately and personally. And then growing to know Him more and more every day. In closing I wanted to share some scriptures of who Jesus says we are and what He will do and has done for us. There is no substitute for holding a Bible in your hands, reading it and getting it in your heart, mind and soul. I have written a few words and scriptures that I need and read on frequent if not daily occasions. Make it a great for yourself and someone else as we live to love and share Jesus with others.

Apart from Jesus Christ, I can do nothing; but in Jesus Christ I can do all things, so I can bring glory to Him. Therefore, I see myself as He sees me according to His living Word, for my life is hid with Christ in God. I will train myself to say the same things as God says in His Word, for how can two walk together except they be agreed? I can totally trust Him. His Word will always be the final authority in my life. I base my entire life upon Him and His living Word. Because I meditate upon His Word Day and night and carefully do all that is written in it, my way will be prosperous. I am not just an ordinary person; I'm a child of the living God. I'm not just a person; I'm an heir of God and joint heir with Jesus Christ. I'm not just an old sinner; I'm a new creation in Jesus my Lord. I'm part of a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation; I'm one of God's people. I'm not under the guilt of condemnation. I refuse discouragement for it is not of God. God is the God of all encouragement. There is therefore no condemnation for me because I am in Christ Jesus. Satan is a liar. I will not listen to his accusations. I will gird up the loins of my mind. I am cleansed in Christ's blood. No weapon formed against me shall prosper and I shall confute every tongue that rises against me in judgment. My mind is being renewed by the word of God. I will pull down strongholds and cast down imaginations. I will bring every thought captive to the will of Christ. I am accepted by God. If God is for me, who can be against me? Greater is He that is within me than he that is in the world. Nothing can separate me from the love of Christ. As the Father loves Jesus, so does Jesus love me. I have the righteousness of God through Christ. I am not a slave of sin, I'm a slave of God and a slave of righteousness. I will continue in His word. I know the truth and the truth has set me free. I am free indeed because Jesus has set me free. "He who is born of God is kept by Him and the evil one does not touch him." I have been delivered out of the kingdom of darkness. I'm now part of the kingdom of God and don't have to serve sin anymore. Sin has no dominion over me. I will not believe the enemy's lies. He will not intimidate me. He is a liar and the father of lies. Satan is defeated. For this purpose, the Son of God came into the world to destroy the works of the devil. No longer will he oppress me. "Surely oppression makes a wise man mad." I will get mad at the devil. He is defeated by the blood of the lamb and the words of my testimony. I will submit to God. I will resist the devil and he will flee. No temptation will overcome me which is not common to man. God is faithful. He will not let me be tempted beyond my strength, but with the temptation will also provide me with a way of escape, that I may be able to endure. I will stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made me free. "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty." "The law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death." Christ always causes me to triumph. I'll reign as a king in life through Christ Jesus. I am strong and the Word of God abides in me, and I have overcome the evil one. I am more than a conqueror through Christ who loves me. I am an overcomer. "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Thanks be to God who gives me the victory through Christ Jesus my Lord! I will be a success to the glory of God. All His blessings shall come upon me and overtake me because I obey the voice of the Lord, my God. Of this I am confident: Those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing. I will not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Look at who God says we are:

I am united with the Lord. 1 Corinthians 6:17

I am bought with a price. 1 Corinthians 6:20

I am a member of Christ's body. 1 Corinthians 12:27

I am a Saint. Ephesians 1:1

I am adopted as God's child. Ephesians 1:5

I have direct access to God. Ephesians 2:18

I am redeemed and forgiven. Colossians 1:14

I am complete in Jesus Christ. Colossians 2:10

I am free from condemnation. Romans 8:1

I am assured that all things work together for good. Romans 8:28

I am free from charges. Romans 8:31

I cannot be separated from the love of God. Romans 8:35

I am established, anointed, and sealed by God. 2 Corinthians 1:21

I can be confident in God's work in me. Philippians 1:6

I am a citizen of Heaven. Philippians 3:20

I am hidden with God in Christ. Colossians 3:3

I do not have the spirit of fear, but of love, power, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

I find grace and mercy in times of need. Hebrews 4:16

I am born of God and the evil one can not touch me. 1 John 5:18

I am the salt and light of the Earth. Matthew 5:13

I am the branch of the true vine. John 15:1, 5

I am chosen to bear fruit. John 15:16

I have power and I am a personal witness of Jesus Christ. Acts 1:8

I am God's temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16

I am a minister of the reconciliation for God. 2 Corinthians 5:16

I am God's co-worker. 2 Corinthians 6:1

I am seated with Christ in heavenly places. Ephesians 2:6

I am God's workmanship. Ephesians 2:10

I may approach God with freedom and confidence. Ephesians 3:12

I am the salt of the earth Matt. 5:13

I am the light of the world Matt. 5:14

I am a child of God John 1:12

I am truly dead to sin, and alive unto God through Jesus Christ my Lord. Rom 6:11

Sin will not have dominion over me: for I am not under the law, but under grace Rom 6:14

The law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. Rom 8:2

I have been made free from sin, and I am now a servant of righteousness. Rom 6:18

I am Christ's friend. John 15:15

I am chosen and appointed by Christ to bear His fruit. John 15:16

I am a joint heir with Christ, sharing His inheritance with Him. Rom. 8:17

I am a temple, a dwelling place, of God. His Spirit and His life dwells in me. 1 Cor. 3:16; 6:19

I am united to the Lord and am one spirit with Him. 1 Cor. 6:17

I am a member of Christ's Body. 1 Cor. 12: Eph. 5:30

I am a new Creation. 2 Cor. 5:17

I am reconciled to God and am a minister of reconciliation. Cor. 5:18,19

I am a son of God and one in Christ. Gal. 3:26,28

I am an heir of God since l am a son of God. Gal. 4:6,7

I am God's workmanship, His handiwork born anew in Christ to do His work Eph. 2:10

I am a fellow citizen with the rest of God's family. Eph. 2:19

I am a prisoner of Christ. Eph. 3:1

I am righteous and holy. Eph. 4:24

I am a citizen of heaven, seated in heaven right now. Phil. 3:20; Eph. 2:6

l am hidden with Christ in God. Col. 3:3

I am an expression of the life of Christ because He is my life. Col. 3:4

I am chosen of God, holy and dearly loved. 3:12; 1 Thess. 1:4

I am a son of light and not of darkness. 1 Thess. 5:5

I am a holy partaker of a heavenly calling. Heb. 3:1

I am a partaker of Christ; I share in His life. Heb. 3:14

I am one of God's living stones, being built up in Christ as a spiritual house. 1 Pet. 2:5

I am a member of a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God's own possession. 1 Pet. 2:9,10

I am an alien and stranger to this world in which I temporarily live. 1 Pet. 2:11

I am a child of God and I will resemble Christ when He returns. 1 John 3:1

I am born of God, and the evil one, the devil, cannot touch me. 1 John 5:18

Since I am in Christ, by the grace of God, I have been justified completely forgiven and made righteous. Rom. 5:1

I died with Christ and died to the power of sin's rule over my life. Rom. 6:1- 6

I am free forever from condemnation. Rom. 8:1

I have been placed into Christ by God's doing. I Cor. 1:30

I was predestined, determined by God, to be adopted as God's son. Eph. 1:5

I have been redeemed and forgiven, and I am recipient of His lavish grace. Eph1:7

I have been made alive together with Christ. Eph. 2:5

I have been raised up and seated with Christ heaven. Eph. 2:6

I have direct access to God through the Spirit. Eph. 2:18

I may approach God with boldness, freedom a confidence. Eph. 3: 12

I have been rescued from the domain of Satan's rule and transferred to the kingdom of Christ. Col 1:13

I have been redeemed and forgiven of all my sins, The debt against me has been canceled. Col. 1:14

Christ Himself is in me. Col. 1:27

I am firmly rooted in Christ and am now being built in Him. Col. 2:7

I have been spiritually circumcised. My old unregenerate nature has been removed. Col. 2:11

I have been made complete in Christ. Col. 2:10

I have been buried, raised and made alive with Christ. Col. 2:12,13

I died with Christ, and I have been raised up with Christ. My life is now hidden with Christ in God. Christ is now my life. Col. 3:1- 4

I have been given a spirit of power, love and sound mind. Tim. 1:7

I have been saved and set apart according to God's doing. Titus 3:5

Because I am sanctified and am one with the Sanctifier, He is not ashamed to call me brother. Heb. 2:11

I have the right to come boldly before the throne of God to find mercy and grace in time of need. Heb. 4:16

I have been given exceedingly great and precious promises by God by which I am a partaker of God's divine nature. 2 Pet. 1:4
