Success Stories
White Research at EU Hydrogen Valley Days: Advancing Hydrogen Innovation
The EU Hydrogen Valley Days in Brussels, co-organised by the Clean Hydrogen Partnership and the European Commission , showcased significant advancements in EU+ hydrogen initiatives. During this event, Christian Hauschildt , Managing Director of White Research, provided valuable insights into the project's objectives and outcomes, along with an in-depth analysis of the hydrogen landscape across the EU+. The discussions also addressed challenges encountered and lessons learned during the drafting of Memoranda of Cooperation (MoCs) to foster collaboration.
Key highlights included the signing of MoCs by prominent entities such as the Croatian Hydrocarbon Agency , ERDF and ESF+ Managing Authorities of the Friuli Giulia Venezia region, and the Ministry of Innovation and Growth of the Republic of Bulgaria. These agreements signal a strong commitment to enhancing hydrogen technologies and establishing partnerships at both national and regional levels.
The event emphasized a strategic focus on hydrogen across Member States and regions, acknowledging the differences in progress and priorities. It underscored the importance of governance structures that promote coordination and support national programs through collaborative funding opportunities.
White Research played a crucial role in providing in-depth analyses and facilitating key discussions throughout this initiative, with invaluable support from Sofia Maragkidou . Alongside partners CIRCE - Centro Tecnológico and Q-PLAN INTERNATIONAL , White Research strives towards a sustainable future where hydrogen innovation drives Europe’s energy transition.
White Research at EUBCE 2024: Showcasing Sustainable Innovation
Explore White Research's recent participation at the EUBCE - European Biomass Conference & Exhibition (EUBCE) 2024, where we contributed significantly through the BIOBASEDCERT cluster and the SUSTCERT4BIOBASED project, and the ALFA Project .
The SUSTCERT4BIOBASED project, part of the BIOBASEDCERT cluster, hosted an event titled "Monitoring Sustainability Certification Schemes and Labels of Bio-based Products" on June 26. This event explored the BIOBASEDCERT Monitoring System, a groundbreaking initiative to enhance the transparency and reliability of sustainability certifications for bio-based products. Attendees engaged in discussions about the future roles of Certification Schemes and Labels (CSLs) within the European Circular Bioeconomy, providing invaluable insights into the evolving landscape of bio-based product certifications.
On the other hand, the ALFA Project presented two insightful papers at EUBCE 2024, focusing on the multifaceted challenges and social acceptance of biogas production in the agricultural sector. These presentations delved into the technical, financial, and legal hurdles that farmers face when adopting biogas systems. Additionally, they addressed the critical factors influencing public attitudes toward biogas, offering a comprehensive overview of the barriers and opportunities in biogas technology adoption.
White Research invited all attendees to join these sessions at EUBCE 2024 to learn more about their sustainability initiatives and advancements in biogas technology. This conference provided an excellent opportunity to connect with industry experts, share knowledge, and explore the latest trends and innovations in the biomass and bio-based sectors.

ReMuNet: New Survey to Enhance Multimodal Transport Ecosystem
We are pleased to announce that ReMuNet Project has successfully completed a joint survey with its sister project, SARIL Project . The survey examined the individual challenges faced by ground-level actors. With these insights, ReMuNet is now shifting its focus to the broader dynamics of the entire multimodal transport ecosystem.
Specifically, the new survey aims to uncover the contributions of various actors within the ecosystem, how data is processed and shared among them, and the specific technical requirements for the design and data flows of the ReMuNet platform. Your participation will be crucial in helping the project gain a comprehensive understanding of these elements, ultimately enhancing the efficiency and resilience of European transport networks.
We invite all actors involved in the transportation process to participate in this important survey. Your insights will be invaluable in improving our understanding of the transport process, the roles of different actors, data exchange and processing, business models in multimodal transport, and the identification of stakeholders in the TEN-T priority corridors.
