Solution giver.

Problem solver.

?

That is the one key component to being a thought leader - whether as a person or an organization.?

?

People think thought leadership is some big vast complicated thing and it’s not. It’s simple.?

?

You don’t just talk about a problem, you give a well-thought-out attainable solution to that problem.

?

You know you’re acting in a leadership role if you look back on your day and any communication you did asking yourself, “Did I offer a solution today?” If the answer is yes, you led.

?

You don’t leave people thinking, “Well, what now?” You close the loop.?

?

If you have the solution to a problem and you communicate it, you are a thought leader.?

?

INSTAGRAM: A new DM guide.

?

LINKEDIN: LinkedIn is celebrating a milestone.

?

LINKEDIN: As someone who has worked with CEOs and executive leaders on their LinkedIn strategy for years, I can absolutely attest to this as the payoffs for both the leader and the brand they represent are immense.?

?

META: “We’re testing the ability for businesses to turn off comments on ads.”

?

META: A new, full-screen video tab.

?

PINTEREST: I love that Pinterest publishes trends. Their platform has access to such unique data compared to other social platforms and it’s also always refreshing, fun information which is a departure from trends on other platforms.

?

REDDIT: Another new platform the White House has officially joined.

?

REDDIT: In case you’re new to the platform.

?

SOCIAL MEDIA: The lines between news, media, communications, and social media blur more and more each day. It’s all becoming lumped into the “new media” bucket. Read more here. “We don’t live in an age when everyone gets their news from three white guys at 6:30 every night.” - political advisor Eric Schultz

?

THREADS: I’m having to navigate to my “Following” feed each time I go on Threads to get away from the engagement-baiting posts that get top billing on my home feed.

?

TIKTOK: Media literacy education continues to be a growing need. There are so many who don’t know how to filter and think critically when being presented with information as fact.
