The U.S Government has decided to buy into the Creator Economy, with a first of its kind Creator Economy Conference being held at the White House. The conference will see creators and industry experts coming together with Government officials to discuss all things creation, from challenges and opportunities to AI and mental health. The White House hopes that the conference will aid the government in its digital policy creation. Snapchat has also teamed up with Adidas and Nike to create Kit Selector AR lenses, which allow users to try on official Euros team kits. After trying on, Snapchatters can purchase the gear in the app; part of the platform’s new e-commerce push, which connects lenses with real life purchases.?

With the rise of the mood board, Pinterest has now improved its board sharing, making it easier for users to share their Pin boards across other social media platforms. The new update provides a cleaner way to share your Pin collections, encouraging users to engage in cross-platform creation. Users can choose from a variety of templates before sharing their board as an animation. The final product includes a Pinterest watermark, which may cause issues for those wishing to share on formats such as Reels, which downranks content with watermarks. With the new update, Pinterest is hoping to appeal to younger users, who have shown a keen interest in creating mood boards on the app.?

Released earlier this year, Shein Marketplace is continuing to disrupt the market and raise questions. The popular fast fashion brand announced in May that it would be opening a global integrated marketplace, inviting brands to sell on its platform. Since then, the marketplace has been largely successful, creating a busy interface eerily similar to Amazon’s. The brand has even partnered with Flexport and Shipstation to aid U.S sellers in fulfilling and managing orders more effectively. Could Shein pose a serious threat to major online marketplaces? Considering Amazon has already had to plunge its prices to compete with the fashion retailer, the suggestion is not all that far fetched.
