A whistleblower sacking, a SLAPP, a penalty and an appeal

Two years after the Employment Relations Authority fined a Council whistleblower $9,000 (£4,200) for disparaging that Council, Allan Halse’s challenge (appeal) will be heard in the Employment Court.

It’s an interesting case that we’ve covered previously, as this 16 September 2023 article explains:

Could this happen in the United Kingdom?? Highly unlikely now, given the SLAPPs Warning Notice?issued by the Solicitor’s Regulation Authority on 28 November 2022.?
