Whiplash is one of the most common injuries sustained during car accidents, and are often of the hardest to treat. Although half of all whiplash injuries are the result of rear collisions, they can occur from an impact in any direction. Without proper treatment, some injuries from an auto accident can continue to cause pain for years if not treated. It is always best to seek treatment from a doctor trained to evaluate auto accident victims.

Whiplash results from a quick jerking motion that forces the neck beyond its normal range of motion. Some symptoms of whiplash includes:

* Blurred vision * Neck pain * Headaches * Dizziness * Shoulder pain * Arm pain

* Neck stiffness * Low back pain
