For now, I really have to give the Rubbish Award to this:

For Love of God

It's worth a great deal of money by itself- those are real diamonds covering that skull. However, Damien Hirst ended up having to buy it himself (as part of a consortium, but still) because it didn't sell for his asking price of $100MILLION. Plus, he plagarized the idea from a friend of his, John LeKay, who was working with crystal-covered skulls in the 1990s.   This Hirst work has been displayed only twice; it is kept in a vault; and the only way anyone sees it is by photograph.

Also, a 16 year-old outsider collage artist who used legitimate photos of that work (photos Hirst had placed in various publications to advertise the work's unveiling- and hoped for sale) was threatened with a lawsuit by Hirst for using those images as part of a collage work, and not only had to turn over his original collages to Hirst, he also paid a $400 fine. Damien Hirst 'threatened to sue teenager over alleged copyright theft'

Rubbish. I could excuse the pickled cows and sheep as an artist who was searching for shock value over artistic vision. But this work is just facile and petty.

apology should be 'known'! as if he has not got enough billions!! and that by using the ideas of others in his factory, where others do the work. Some of his former workers who create his work are here on Linkedin
