Which vaccine?

If it is true that there are many indications of a correlation between the spread and lethality of the Coronavirus and our progress (pollution, globalization, cuts in the welfare state, reduction of the old to waste, political corruption, nationalism) we cannot scientifically say?that the pandemic was caused by our becoming "inhuman". But let us take this as a warning about what a plague that destroys human persons could be.
It will perhaps be a bit animistic to think so, but the very strong feeling is that mother Earth is fed up with the human race: and that she is telling us that she would not find it difficult to destroy us. The so-called human civilization can end: becoming truly human is perhaps the only way to avoid it. Because it's also the only way not to deserve the end.
The reality of life is the natural environment, land and water, trees and animals, and it is the social environment, the other human beings who are part of the family, of the community, of humanity. Today we almost always live in artificial environments and we hardly even communicate with our family members: we gather with them around the modern hearth, the television. Unless everyone is in their own room with their own computer. A society of domination and competition is a society of isolation, alienation, division.
Humanity is at risk from a variety of dangers that we ourselves have created, from nuclear war to global warming to genetically engineered viruses. And further advances in science and technology will create new ways things can go wrong. We must not stop making progress, or reverse the trend, we must simply recognize the dangers and be able to control them.
A common and shared sense of humanity must inspire the way politics is done and guide financial decisions. World leaders should take action to promote sustainable human progress and a decent and secure life for all. Increase their efforts to find political solutions to prevent and end conflicts.
We should all concretely commit ourselves to respecting the norms for the protection of humanity, i.e. respecting international humanitarian law and human rights, stopping bombings and attacks against civilian targets and areas, as well as committing ourselves to national and international justice and ending impunity. Pay attention to the most marginalized people, cooperating to improve the lives of the most vulnerable, those living in situations of conflict or extreme poverty and those exposed to natural disasters. Closing the humanitarian and development gap once and for all.

Put in place all the useful and necessary tools to anticipate the arrival of crises, improving their forecasting capabilities, rather than waiting for them to happen: it is simply much more difficult and expensive to intervene after the event has occurred and in the case of human victims, even impossible to go back.
Those with the power and expertise should work to find smart and innovative ways to mobilize economic resources, using a wider variety of financial instruments, lawful and safe.
These are just a few key actions and strategic changes that the world requires to reduce humanitarian needs and help achieve the goals for sustainable development.
Otherwise, the new pandemic will be a social disease that magnifies the differences between classes, which makes the poor more desperate, which corrodes the foundations of the middle class, which causes the disappearance of solidarity and sharing, giving way to all those who always they are fed on hatred for others.
Unfortunately we can't find a vaccine for these things, that it finally make us come back to perceive everyone us as Human Beings. We just have to make a concrete commitment to recover at least the sense of responsibility, towards each other and towards the nature that surrounds us.
