Which NFTs? Shapeshifting Robot, Building a Data Science Roadmap, AI reading lips, and new ConvNet 2022!

You dont need to be a Crypto maximalist to understand the potential of an enaibler technology. I am not talking about JPGs and profile pictures here, it is much bigger than the current hype. Before even starting, I need to say 90% of the current NFT projects will fail soon and will have no values in future.

Having said that there is a future for NFTs that I totally recommend everyone to learn more about the ecosystem and usecases. This topic is not very trendy on Linkedin yet but I am going to start a series of educational posts called "30 days of Web3.0" to share may views and experiences about many related topics including NFTs.

If you are still considering to enter this risky market, make sure to read the rest carefully. These are 4 factors that will help you make the right decision finding high potential projects:

1- The team behind the project: Even if you are just buying to flip it, make sure they are real people with some tracable background. Having a LinkedIn account is a bonus. Check their past experiences and relevance to the current project. Like any other businesses you need to look for a diverse skills including art, tech and business.

2- The community: Most of the projects have a discord space and social media accounts. Check their engagements to understand if the members are real or bots. Ideally, there is a couple of thousands active users on their discord channels talking about relevant topics.

3- The utility: If you are an art lover and collector, Skip this one!

It is very important to get something more than just a pixelated ( or even a high res) animal image. When the hype goes away this will save the value of the asset. Some of the projects have a crazy roadmap but you need to check their team to ensure they can deliver it. Like any other businesses, there is always a chance to get fooled by another Theranos.

4- The artifact: Apart from some early examples, these days most NFTs need to have pleasing aethtetics. Art is subjective but at least it should feel good for you If not buying a purly Utility NFTs. It is always better to buy an NFT that has a known artist with a track of record on Linkedin/Instagram.

After following all of these, still there is no guarantee the NFT that you bought would hold the value in the short/long term. So, make sure to use some assets that you can afford to lose. In near future, when the hype goes away and the technology matures to have more utility NFTs with a concrete offerings, there will be less risks/rewards.
