Which New Cars Are Being Released This Month?

2022 has seen a busy summer for new car releases, and things don’t slow down in August.

Cupra Formentor VZ5

Not only is it?Cupra’s?most powerful?SUV?yet, but it will also be a bit of a rarity, with only 7,000 of them being made.

A left-hand drive car might put some UK buyers off. However, if you’re a real petrolhead, the promise of a powerful five-cylinder engine might just be enough to make a compromise when it comes to positioning of the driver seat.

Kia XCeed

Our favourite trim in the new range is a new sporty GT-Line spec. Lower air intakes, side cladding, a body-coloured diffuser at the rear and hexagonal-shaped rear lights make it very nice to look at.

Mercedes-Benz GLC

Key updates to the range include six new hybrid engines, a bigger boot and a plethora of advanced tech. On top of a 360-degree parking camera, you’ll also get a lane assist function with active steering correction and active cruise control that can react to cars stopped on the road at speeds of up to 62mph.

Nissan X-Trail

You’ll still get seven seats as standard in the new Nissan X-Trail, but the new CMF-C platform will give the car some much-needed ‘pampering’.

Just like the outgoing X-Trail, you can specify your SUV to have either front-wheel or all-wheel drive. If you choose the latter, you’ll get a new system called ‘e-4ORCE’ which includes different off-road driving modes for added versatility.
