Which Instrument Are you?
In bands, there’s space that’s occupied by different instruments.
Top end instruments are saxophone, lead guitar, harmonica etc... with the voice being the most prominent.
The rhythm guitars sit underneath and then there’s the drums...
Finally there’s .... the bass.
It sits underneath all other frequencies and generally the person who plays bass is the chilled out, stoner dude who never dances or does solos.
None are better than the other.
They are all equally needed to create the songs in entirety and the energy.
In the same way.... if we equate personalities to the instruments in a band... outgoing, high energy people are the singers.
Chilled out, relaxed kinds are like the bass.
I’ve been trying all my life to be a bass player!
I always felt that being high energy, and at the forefront was “wrong” and that I shouldn’t occupy so much space.
But I realise now that I’ve been holding myself back all these years!
I’m a singer not a bass player!
And the amount of energy I’ve used trying to be a bass player is so exhausting!
For the first time in years, I have an appetite.
I’m hungry!
My stomach has opened up.
I won’t get fat cause I’m a singer remember! I need the energy to be ME!
Be yourself.
It’s so much easier
Anyone relate to this?
