?? Which Income Stream Should You Create First?

?? Reading time: 45 seconds

Someone recently asked me if building an empire is more fun than having built an empire.

That's hard to answer--I've embraced what some call the grind--I just consider it "putting in the work." So it's rare that I'm not working on building an income stream, because it's just so darn fun.

But having revenue pop into my bank account from work I did two, ten, or even twenty years ago isn't a bad deal either.

Let me shine a light in a confusing space and see if I can help you gain some quick clarity.

If you're struggling to choose which income stream to build first, consider these critical factors:

  1. Urgency: How quickly do you need revenue? Courses can generate income within days; books take longer.
  2. ELF Factor: Is it Easy, Lucrative, and Fun for YOU? Each income stream has different demands.
  3. Time Investment: How much time can you realistically dedicate to building this stream?
  4. Start-up Costs: Some streams require more upfront investment than others.

I recommend focusing on just ONE income stream to start—trying to build multiple simultaneously often leads to none succeeding.
