Which Human Behaviour Are You? Take the quiz??

Welcome to this weeks edition of LinkedIn How To Guides...

What’s your personality style?

Did you know your personality is a mixture of 4 different traits?

Have you heard of the DISC, DISA or four colours in behavioural analysis?

THE FOUR ELEMENTS

The history of DISC has evolved over centuries, beginning with the Greek philosopher Empedocles, who proposed that the four elements of fire, earth, air, and water influenced people's behaviour. By 400 BC, Hippocrates had redefined these four elements as the four temperaments, which included Choleric, Sanguine, Phlegmatic, and Melancholic. These temperaments would eventually form the basis of modern-day personality theory.

DISC Module

William Moulton Marston, a psychologist and inventor, decided to build on this theory. In 1928, Marston published "Emotions of Normal People," which introduced his DISC Personality System. Marston believed that people's behaviour was influenced by four behavioural traits, which he named Dominance, Influence, Steadiness, and Compliance.

Since then, DISC has been widely used in various settings, including personal development, team building, and career counselling.

Knowing your personality type and being able to recognize the observable DISC style behaviours of others in the DISC model can help you build stronger personal and professional relationships.

There are four main DISC personality types: The DISA system, the four-colour behavioural framework by Thomas Erikson who wrote the book "Surround by idiots". Categorizes the main behaviours according to four colours: Red, Yellow, Green and Blue. ????????
