Advanced Portfolio Management, Robert E. Kiernan -?CEO
Before founding APM, Mr. Kiernan spent nearly two decades in the capital markets with Salomon Brothers and Lehman Brothers, during which he was responsible for building, managing, and leading multiple global capital markets and investment banking businesses based in the US and Europe.
Prior to joining Salomon Brothers, Mr. Kiernan held several foreign policy positions in the Reagan administration including appointments at USIA, the National Security Council, and the Department of State.?He was also a member of the US Delegation to the United Nations Human Rights Commission.
Mr. Kiernan currently serves in a number of board positions including Chairman of the Board of Directors of Educate Girls Globally, member of the Advisory Board of the Center on Capitalism and Society at Columbia University, and member of the Research Review Board of the CFA Institute Research Foundation.?He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (RSA) and a member of the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House), the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), and the Council on Foreign Relations.
Mr. Kiernan received an AB magna cum laude and an AM with distinction from the four-year AB/AM program at Boston College, a MA from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy where he was a Century Fund Fellow, an MBA from the University of Chicago where he was a First National Bank Scholar, and is currently completing a PhD at Cambridge University.?He has been a Senior Fellow at the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University where he led a seminar and research project on socially responsible investing (SRI) and Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investing.

Alifia Doriwala is a Partner and Co-Chief Investment Officer at RockCreek focused on OCIO solutions. As a member of the Investment Committee, she is involved in portfolio management, asset allocation and investment decisions across alternative and traditional asset classes. An active investor, she sources directs, and manages relationships with top-quartile public and private investments on behalf of endowments, foundations, and pension funds. Ms. Doriwala works closely with the Investment Committee and Boards of Institutions in managing their investment portfolios and with many as their Outsourced Chief Investment Officer. Building on a life-long interest in advancing mission-oriented work, Ms. Doriwala integrates impact opportunities in certain portfolios.
Prior to joining RockCreek, Ms. Doriwala was an Equity Arbitrage Trader at Wolverine Trading, L.P., where she was responsible for sourcing, analyzing and modeling equity linked trades together with equity options. Ms. Doriwala started her career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Merrill Lynch and member of the Financial Sponsor Group assessing the suitability of potential targets for private equity portfolio companies.?
Ms. Doriwala graduated from Georgetown University magna cum laude with a B.A. in Economics and English and holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Marketing from New York University’s Stern School of Business. She is a board member of the Georgetown University Global Business Initiative Advisory Board and a former Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee at The Langley School. She is also a board member for the Teach for America-DC Region, board member and investment committee member of Maret School and WETA as well as a member of the Global Advisory Council for Beyond the Billion. She supports various non-profit organizations focused on education and women’s initiatives. Ms. Doriwala contributed to the RockCreek IFC research study entitled “Moving Toward Gender Balance in Private Equity.”
WTW, Victoria Vodolazschi, CFA -?Director, Investments
Victoria Vodolazschi joined Towers Watson in August 2015 as a senior member of the Liquid Diversifiers and Equity Research teams. She also acts as a portfolio manager in our U.S. Delegated Portfolio Management Group and serves as a member of Macro and Hedge Fund Investment Committees. Prior to joining WTW, she spent eight years in the Northern Trust Alternatives group as a co-Portfolio Manager of the fund of funds products as well as bespoke wealth management mandates. Prior to Northern Trust, she had hedge fund due diligence and portfolio management responsibilities at Bainbridge Partners, LLC. She started her career as an Investment Banking Analyst in the Financial Institutions Group at Bear Stearns and also worked in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group at JP Morgan. Victoria received her BA in Economics and International Relations from Trinity College and her MBA from the Stern School of Business at New York University.

Before Agecroft, Don was a founding principal of Andor Capital Management where he was a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. When he left Andor, the firm ranked as the 2nd largest hedge fund firm in the world. Before Andor, Don was Head of Institutional Sales for Merrill Lynch Investment Managers (now part of Blackrock). At that time, MLIM ranked as one of the largest investment managers in the world. Previously, Don was Head of Institutional Sales and on the executive committee for NationsBank Investment Management (now Bank of America).
Don is a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Home for Boys and Girls Foundation. In addition, he is a former Board of Directors member of the University of Richmond’s Robins School of Business, The Science Museum of Virginia Endowment Fund, The Richmond Ballet (The State Ballet of Virginia), Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens, Help for Children (Hedge Funds Care), Child Savers Foundation, The Hedge Fund Association and the Richmond Sports Backers. He also served over a decade on the Investment Committee for The City of Richmond Retirement System.

Douglas R. Rothschild is President of Agecroft Partners where he helps oversee the day to day operations of the firm. He has over 26 years of experience in the financial services industry including 6 on the executive committee of one of the largest global hedge funds. Doug was also President of a Chicago based asset management firm where he led the growth from $300M to a peak of over $1B in AUM. He has been a presenter at hedge funds at industry conferences as well as the premiere business schools in the U.S. Doug earned a master’s degree from Arizona State University and a bachelor’s degree from Wheaton College. He also spent 2 years in the NFL with the Chicago Bears and the Cincinnati Bengals.
