I have an interesting question to ask you and I want you to consider what your response would be....
Which of these 2 things scares you the most?
1.???Being threatened and assaulted by an adult male on Collins Street in Melbourne or
2.???Being held financially accountable to pay your debts and being outed publicly by the media for deceit and misrepresentation?
Well, I suppose the answer to my question depends on who you are. For some of you, being physically assaulted is probably far more intimidating and threatening... but not for everyone.
Two weeks ago, I went to Magistrates court in Melbourne because I was accused by Simon Ward and Nicholas Ackland of threatening them and that they “feared for their safety”.
Something intriguing was revealed which is why I posed this question to you today...?
When I asked for my refund (and coincidentally just after there were 3 national news stories about my journey to get justice via the Australian Financial Complaints Authority - AFCA), Simon Ward and Nick Ackland both interpreted my refund request and media attention as serious enough to:
In cross examination of Simon Ward confessed that an adult male (former client of Tauro Capital) physically attacked him on the street on or around 2016. He was then queried by my barrister about whether he:

The answer to all 4 questions under oath was “NO”.
I find this fascinating because what it seems like to me, is that being held accountable for misleading and deceiving small business clients trying to raise capital, is scarier and more threatening to some people, than actually being physically assaulted.
I was under the impression that our personal safety legislation was created to protect people who are at actual risk of harm, not to protect someone who doesn’t want to pay a debt/refund, or someone who wants to silence their victim from speaking the truth online about a legal determination from AFCA and a refund owing of $48,500.
What do you think our legal system and the police should be focusing on?
Which of these two things is scarier to you – being physically assaulted or being held accountable?
And what do you think should happen if loopholes exist and the legal system might be susceptible to abuses of process?
I’d love to hear what you think…

It looks like the age-old MONEY &/OR POWER. From experience most issues revolve around one or both key issues. Desperate people do desperate things to keep hold of money and power. This looks like another example.

2 年It's a frightening thought that it's so easy for someone to get a restraining order on you without any evidence and then YOU have to prove your innocence. You'd think that the restraining orders were kept for those who really needed them like victims of domestic violence not a woman who is rightfully pursuing the outcome of a court result. I'm so sorry this is happening to you Rhondalynn. Raising capital is hard enough. Raising capital as a woman in Australia is even harder. Raising capital and then being ripped off by the VC who is supposed to have your best interests at heart and help grow the company they're investing in is a sham. Unfortunately, this is far more common than people think.
