Where’s Your Decimal?

A friend recently told me that she intends to create a seven-figure speaking and writing business. In response, I asked her, “Where’s your decimal point?”
It took her a moment to catch my drift, then she responded, “seven figures to the left of the decimal.” It may seem like a small matter, but the decimal point makes all the difference - $1,000,000 versus $10,000.00. Both are seven figures, but the placement of the decimal point changes everything.
More specifically, the decimal point represents our perspectives. Are we being clear about what we want? We’ve all heard the phrase, “Be careful what you wish for.” There are so many jokes where someone makes a wish and in return they get something unexpected because they were not specific or clear enough with their wish.
As you set your desires, goals, intentions and dreams, be clear and specific about what you want. The same goes for communication. Be clear about what you want for yourself and from others, especially in the small details like a decimal point.
